Hard pass. The *only* reason to go here is if you Bonvoy Platinum or better, because then you get a complementary continental breakfast. If you do come here, you'll notice there is almost never a wait and the place is never full. Because.... you generally only make the mistake of coming here once. Lets start off at the top. It's EXPENSIVE. You are already paying close to $500/night to stay here (at the bottom end) and they cannot provide any breakfast included? Ok, but then your run of the mill "bacon and eggs" (the "american breakfast" which is 3 eggs, your choice of meat) breakfast is $30. Oh, but they'll say that also includes a drink, like a $5 black coffee. I'm not coffee expert but it didn't taste like anything special, nor does the menu say it's Kona coffee. So we're talking coffee that makes Starbucks better and cheaper. But here's the thing that really drove me to write this. Beyond the food being expensive and average at best. Today I ordered eggs over easy. I *never* send back food, I'll eat just about anything you give me. But what I ended up with was eggs that has been passed by a fire. The white was almost entire liquid, I should have taken a picture but I was so shocked and forgot. Sent it back and they had the gall to suggest that I didn't know eggs and should order over medium - which I acquiesced to just to get something edible. The result was hard fried, but at least over medium. I'm sorry, if you ONLY do breakfast and it's a $30 breakfast for 3 eggs, 4 slices of sausage and 3 potatoes... you gotta be able to do it right. Also, know what over easy should and shouldn't look like. If it looks like white water, something is seriously wrong. For the $50+/night resort fee, the Sheraton should just make this a place a light continental breakfast that's included for all. Maybe it was better in a pre-COVID hey-day, but now the place looks quiet sad.

Kai market is a restaurant in Sheraton. We had breakfast at this restaurant for entire trip. This has indoor+ outdoor seating. Indoor seating is as good as outdoor as this has huge glass sliding doors that gives outdoor effect to everything. Views are breathtaking. It’s oceanfront overlooking Waikiki beach. Food was decent. Omelette was really good. They can have much better options in continental option. Currently they had standard chilly regular fruits, sugary yogurt, granola mix with chopped nuts and server had no clue what nuts are in. Coffee was served and refilled cold. I am allergic and had to leave it as no idea what nuts they were using. Servers were very elderly and very sweet and friendly. I am giving 4 star as the views were stunning and the servers were super friendly.

Our party of four had big appetites and this buffet did not disappoint. The sashimi was fresh and refilled regularly. The prime rib was tasty, but if ypu want a big piece be sure to ask for one. There was a good selection of sushi to choose from. Our party mainly focused on the sashimi, prime rib, crab legs, shrimp, and laulau. The server immediately recognized that we were there on mission and gave us a huge bowl for crab shells. The server also gave use big flasks of our drinks. It was a very efficient operation. All in all, it was another successful trip to Kai Market. They also have Kamaaina prices and free valet parking with validation.

Okay... For my mom and I, the food is rated a 4.5 but the service is rated a 1. Our waitress name starts with a N and ends with an E. And last name is Y. I don’t want to blast her to the world so I’ll initial her name and hopefully management knows who I’m referring too. But anyways, we get there and went to grab our food. We hadn’t ordered any drinks yet but figured water would be there on our table at least. It wasn’t. We started eating our food and it’s been about 10-15 mins in waiting for our waitress to even take our drink order. She finally comes and we order our drinks but she seemed like she was in a rush to leave. She brings our drinks and disappears. We waited almost 15 mins until she came around again so we can ask for soy sauce. My mom then said she was helping that big table behind us so I was okay, I understand, which I do considering I was a waitress once. Then two Asian ladies sat next to us, did the same thing we did and went up to get food. Not even 2 mins later she has water already on their table. They come back from getting food and she’s there taking orders for their drinks. And they came about 20 mins after us. So I was like umm okay at first then thought maybe she wasn’t busy with the big table to help them. But no, she kept asking if they were okay and ignored us. Then she would go to the big table and ask them if there okay. Only time she really came to us was to fill up our drinks twice since the hour half we been there. She puts our check down and told us no rush while feeling like she was rushing us. Well the two ladies left and sat a family of 4. Again water was served right away and orders taken. We had our card ready to pay and waited another 15 mins Before my mom waved her down for something and told her the bill was ready to be taken cared of. She comes back with our card and walks away. Not even coming by anymore. My experience I wasn’t gonna give her no tip. But my mom kindhearted she is said that’s not right. So with her poor attitude and attentiveness she got a small tip rather then none. To be honest she deserved none with what I observed for how we were taken “cared” of to the other people who...

This place is horrible and embodies everything that is wrong with hotels today - astronomical prices for inedible food and terrible service.

Examples: there is next to nothing in the truffle omelet that costs $32, and it was so bland it wasn’t edible I’d be willing to bet that the granola they serve comes from a package - just take a whiff of it and you’ll agree. Granola is easy to make. How sad that they can’t make something like this in house using fresh ingredients and the awesome fruits and nuts native to Hawaii The fruit bowl has melon, cantaloupe and pineapple that is hard and white. Probably the same fruit they’re serving at Sheratons anywhere else in America. We are in Hawaii. You can’t serve some of the wonderful fresh fruit from here? On top of this, the staff is mostly rude and act like it’s a huge inconvenience to ask for basic things like water.

We had breakfast included with our rate, which is why we gave this place a go a few times. I can’t imagine why anyone in their right mind would pay to eat here.

Don’t waste your money here. You’re better off going to the ABC store that’s 2 mins away to get some great papaya halves and pineapple for a fraction of the price. Or head to the halekulani bakery for some amazing pastries that are also a fraction...
