La Birria — Restaurant in Honolulu

A new birria taco spot just opened next to our coffee studio in Fort Street Mall so I had to give it a try! We’ve visited about few times and each time it was a great experience! The prices are reasonable, especially for the quality of tacos. This weekend we ordered the Mexican Roulette—12 tacos, but one of them is a hell fire taco 🔥🔥! Be warned: it’s seriously hot. I couldn’t finish a whole one, but if you’re into spice challenges, it’s a fun twist.

Service was fast, and the consomé was delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfect for dipping. They also offer some unique drink options and sides. One standout was the option to add ramen noodles to the leftover consomé, which was a clever and tasty addition.

One of the few decent options for birria in Hawaii. Not as good as other places I've been on the mainland, but again, good for Hawaii. Wish they gave you a bit more consume. Delicious. Authentic Mexican street tacos are exactly what you get. Perfectly loaded with a generous amount of marinated, slow-cooked steak and complimented with a savory, mouth-watering consommé.
