Ordered ahead of time for pickup. Arrived at my estimated pickup time and was still sitting waiting over 30 minutes later, so ordering ahead is effectively pointless as they didn't even start it until I arrived. This place wasn't busy, there were only a handful of called in orders and one person ahead of me ordered at the desk, so no reason for it
One chicken dish came with roughly hacked-in-half chicken legs still with bones in that makes it impossible to eat with chopsticks and challenging with a knife and fork due to how slippy the sauce is. If I hadn't known ahead of time what the sauce was supposed to be, I wouldn't have been able to guess because it tasted of something, but nothing specific. It was supposed to be crispy chicken, nothing about it was crispy.
The chow mein sauce might have been the same as the other sauce, they're the same color and same lack of obvious flavor; the noodles had a weird, soapy undertaste and a texture that is somehow crunchy and soft at the same time. Honestly I didn't know it was possible to make noodles badly up until this point. Their version of "special" chow mein means 2 jumbo shrimp, 2 slices small of char siu pork, and 3 small slices of some indiscernible grey meat. They were very generous with the vegetables, of which there was a solid variety and quantity, though woefully overcooked into mush.
We also got chicken fried rice and there was maybe a tablespoon of chicken in the entire dish, if that. It was also very wet, with no color, texture or flavor to indicate being fried. This points to the rice being freshly cooked, not saved rice as it it supposed to be in order for it to dry out for frying.
The steamed buns were actually good but they're essentially bread and very difficult to get wrong.
We could have had better flavor and texture at Panda Express and actually had the order be ready on time. With how long we had to wait past my given pickup time, I was expecting much, much better that this. Overall, really disappointed and won't...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience. From the moment we walked through the door, the smell of cat urine should have made us turn around and head back out. For the $15.95 weekend buffet price it is not at all worth it. We got there just as they were setting out for dinner and there wasn't many options to choose from. We were told they would bring more out and over the next 45 minutes they brought out maybe 4 different things. All the food tasted old and they had none of the traditional items you would expect to find at a Chinese buffet. There "fresh" fruit was not at all fresh and looked like it had been sitting out for a while. I steered clear of that and stuck with the canned fruit instead. This was the cheaper of the options available for Chinese buffets but it was still way to overpriced for what you get. The restaurant itself is run down and the floors, tables, and even the kitchen looked filthy. The only good thing I can say about my experience was that the employees were nice but the service was almost nonexistent and the food absolutely gross. If you were hoping to get some ice cream, don't hold your breath because the machine is...
Read moreAVOID THIS PLACE Placed an order through Grubhub and waited for an hour in front of the restaurant. After getting an email that our order was ready, we went in and after waiting for a bit, we were told that they are no longer affiliated with Grubhub and that we'd have to pay for the food separately. After dealing with getting refunded through Grubhub we went back in to pay and were told that the food was never actually made even though they did tell us that they had still received the order from Grubhub and would have to wait again. ** NO! After an hour and a half we are not going to wait another hour!!
To make this worse, the person at the register said she couldn't reach Grubhub by phone but the person at Grubhub who refunded the order confirmed actually talking with them... This place is a shady waste of...
