I had only been to an Ashley Mac's one time before back in 2017 and I remembered the prices being so high for tiny portions and never returned. I was really hungry today after working remotely and walked over to pick something up. The place was "eerily clean," as my mom and I joke, but it had a faint smell of drying paint or nail polish remover...something with strong chemicals.
The lady who rang me up was really sweet and helpful with the menu. My meal came to over $20 for a lunch before a tip. I got the quiche meal with side of chicken noodle soup (kinda cliche but it was the soup of the day) and I got the V-Day cupcake sampler for $7. $7 for 6 tiny, one-bite morsels. The best part was a lady at a table struck up a conversation while I waited about the price and I said they "better be worth it." She exclaimed that "they are!" Hunny....they ain't. 😂 Those things were dry as a bone. The red velvet definitely wasn't Sammy Cheezecake outside ATL (IYKYK)!
The portions were even smaller than before (because last administration and all) and the quiche was just a tiny sliver out of what was probably a delicious actual quiche, had the bite been big enough to form an educated opinion. The little buttery muffin they sold before was the size of a mushroom now. I had already taken a bite, I was so ravenous, but I'm not a big woman and I could've fit 5 in my hand easily.
And I get that it's just chicken noodle soup but for those prices and that size bowl, you better bring your A game to make it worth the patron's while. They most certainly did not. It was so bland. We're talking lacking salt and pepper as basic seasonings kinda bland.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. No third chance for...
Read moreThe food was delicious here. I had the spinach and feta tart. My friend had the pimento BLT. She love her food as much as I liked mine. I had a side of the tomato basil soup. The soup was good too. It isn't a smooth soup but you can tell it's freshly made because of the tiny lumps from the tomatoes. The crust on my rear was flakey and light, not dense at all. The tart was fluffy and flavorful. It was perfectly warm too. The soup came with crackers but that seemed unnecessary and they weren't eaten. It also came with a sour cream biscuit. That was my last favorite item. It's very small so I broke it up into my soup. The flavor is different. It's another thing not needed imo. Overall, I'll return simply for the great vegetarian options and freshness of the food. The drink station did have an odor and smelled like it needed to be cleaned too. The odor could ruin an appetite it was so strong. Hopefully they'll...
Read moreI have been coming to Ashley Mac’s for years. I had a terrible experience about a year ago that kept me from coming back until today. Today, I had an even worse experience, and I will not be coming back. I had gotten a coupon before they rebranded, and I went to use it today, but I’ve been told they don’t accept those anymore. The entire time we were standing there, the manager was acting like we had created the coupon ourselves, and didn’t believe that someone at that store had given it to us. I also went to order a side of Macaroni and cheese, and I’ve been told they don’t sell sides individually anymore. They gave me no solution on how to fix it. I’m tired of having issues with Ashley Mac’s, so I will take my...
