The first few times I ordered from here was during the Covid pandemic. The food was definately decent. I only ordered Gyro platters, plates or sandwiches. I had a certain way I ordered it and never had issues. Then the last 2 times i ordered, it was from a younger brunette that decided she was going to tell me that i cannot, absolutely cannot order it the way i was trying to. I was baffled, so I asked if she was new here. Apparently she was not. Anyways long story short, i asked someone that knew what they were doing amd they said the way i was ordering it was absolutely ok and she had it together right away. Once again now i have to deal with heavy set young woman working the register and she hands me my food and tells me its all done exactly how i wanted it( in a rude joking matter). So i sit right there and open the bag and look at my food. She again says, sir its done the way you wanted it amd its all there. I was like great, i am going to make sure considering how this experience has already gone. Fortunately all my food was there but they had added dressings i never asked for or had before on that said meal. Anyways the rude attitude the girl at the counter provided helped me decide to never go there again! Unfortunate because it is less then 5 min from my house. Now i drive to pharrohs village 2-3 times a week to order and get what i am paying for. I do appreciate the night manager Shannon or sharon i believe she was always awesome and knew what i wanted when i ordered it. But that day time register girl definately ruined me ever coming back! Appreciate the good times and decent food.
Hopefully you can train the register runners on what and what not can be done to orders of food I am paying for. Cause the heavy set young brunette seemed lost the 2 times i ordered the indentical items. That or she just didnt care or was to lazy to ask to find out. She left that upto me and then was nothing but rude to me for the remainder of the...
Read moreWe have always been huge fans and supporters of Zorba's on Raeford Road. When Hope Mills opened and is closer to home we were elated. That is until the service and food started to nose dive.
This past weekend my Wounded Warrior Marine and I went out for a our regular Saturday outing. We always have lunch or brunch together. We chose Zorba's in Hope Mills this time. We sat and waited on someone to come and take our order. I had to use the facilities and found the women's restroom was filthy. The seats were covered in excrement and it was also smeared on the stall wall. The walls were so dusty and sticky. No paper in the stall or to dry your hands with. I just left without using the facility.
I went back to my son and the tables were sticky. The napkin holder, salt and pepper shakers were also sticky and black smudges on them. We had to reach over on an empty table to get menus. They were sticky as well. Table next to us with 4 senior citizens had been waiting longer than us for someone to take their order.
Two people behind the counter and 2 people in front of the counter just looking into the dining room and talking. No one was doing anything. The 2 people behind the counter walked into the cooler. We chose to leave and go to Lindy's. As we were leaving I tried to tell the waitress how filthy the restroom was. She replied "HUH?" I repeated myself. She just looked at me as if she were a deer in headlights. As we walked out the door she spoke very loudly "WHAT DID THAT WOMAN SAY!". I started to go back in but my son said it was not worth it.
The last time we ordered food from Hope Mills my salad came with rotten, mushy, black lettuce. The sandwich was inedible. We will no longer visit Hope Mills. I know we are just 1 family out of many in the area and won't make a dent in their establishment. But if you have not been there before, be informed, the food is subpar and the atmosphere is...
Read moreMy friend and I came here for Sunday Brunch. They were full but they had tables available as soon as we came in. We sat down and our waitress, Tiffany, who is from New York and was a Buffalo Bills fan, greeted us and gave us a Breakfast Menu since we told her we wanted breakfast. I ordered the three egg Western Omelette platter with sausages rather than ham, with a side of hash browns and 2 buttermilk pancakes. My friend had the two Sunny Side eggs with a hamburger steak platter and a side of grits and toasts. Within 10.minutes we received our breakfast, and they were freshly made. My Western Omelette was huge and piping hot, my hashbrowns was crunchy and browned the way I requested. My pancakes though were small. Small!!! What happened? They used to be as big as the plate it is served on. But, it was still delicious, fluffy and fresh. My friend's breakfast looked so good, he devoured it before I could even take a picture.Anyways, I'm beginning to feel.guilty that I go all the way here to Hope Mills to eat at this Zorbas because the original one on Raeford Road has disappointed me several.times with the meals I've had....Sorry. Oh and this location in Hope Mills is super clean, I saw their kitchen area, the floors were clean, the tables weren't sticky, and booths weren't falling apart. The bathroom was clean, didn't have that nasty sewer smell, and the entire floor of this location was super clean. I'm going to miss going to the Raeford Road location, again I'm sorry, but the Hope Mills...
