Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Hopkins

Cold Stone Creamery has some of “thee best” ice cream combinations one can imagine. However, my last visit to this particular location was displeasing and has left me with no choice but never to return because of the young lady working the counter. Her attitude, body language and facial expressions were very uninviting and nasty. I felt so uncomfortable. My review and choice never to return wouldn’t be so low...if this were my first time encountering her in this manner. I’d rather visit establishments that teach and make sure their employees understand the business they are in is one of SERVICE...CUSTOMER SERVICE! Meaning you are there to serve just as you would want to be served if YOU were on the other side of the counter. The point of you being there is to attract and keep customers wanting to come back. Of course the name will sell itself but regardless, if service is poor, you will loos loyalty customers. If the young lady was having a bad day...she should have stayed home instead of draining my son and I with her negative vibes.

I have been visiting this location for 30 years. I always brought our 6 kids for their birthday treats. I had gotten great service. The clerk always took my printed coupon with no problems. Today I visited for my birthday coupon. My coupon said to just print it and bring it in. As I arrived I gave the clerk my coupon up front. She told me to punch in my number. I don't have a number, mine is an email. I signed up 20-25 yrs ago. She said well we have a new system. Meanwhile another gal is making the big cups. So she didn't take my coupon and wanted to charge me $13. I told her well this is not my problem, I followed directions I can't help that you changed your system. So I walked. They probably ate my bowls. I was really disappointed and it didn't make my birthday. Awful customer service. I will be calling corporate tomorrow. She could have just taken my coupon and gave me the cups and had a happy customer. But I decided to come here and write a negative...

I feel sorry for the few others who have had bad experiences here. Whenever I have been to this ice cream place, my experience has nothing lesser to being pleasant. We have had our birthday cakes ordered out of here and they have always given the best of it. The ice cream cake is a treat for people of all ages.

I have always found that they have a standard set of ice creams to offer, which don’t get rotated. But the flavors are very creamy true to its brand name. The staff have always offered free samples on little spoons how many ever times you ask for, without complaining.

The method of preparation where they amalgamate different flavors with top up flavors is a treat to watch. Make sure you try the different wafer types over the cups when you are here. At price level, it is little over nominal. But this place is truly a ice cream wonderland in Hopkins that’s open...
