I came here with 5 other friends for a private tasting. The tasting was over $500 and as you can see, what they poured and offered was maybe worth a total of $50 (if that) amongst our table of 6. So basically we threw $450 bucks away. We were extremely disappointed and underwhelmed. We thought that there would be at least 4 more tastings brought out, but these three glasses were all we got. Together these teeny time pours would have maybe equaled one small glass of wine. The plate of food pairings was also ridiculous. One olive? One silver dollar sized tear of prosciutto? Plus, the host had her own plate of foods and wines in front of her when that should have been distributed to us, the paying patrons. We never once saw any of the bottles (we were just told what we were drinking). Look, I’ve been to lots of vineyards in Napa and not only do they pour you more, they charge you less and they offer you refills on the wines you enjoy as part of the sampling experience (but not here at The Vine Room). At the end of the tasting she never offered to bring any of us a bottle or a glass, we had to go up to the bar Where the 6 of us stood and waited for a good 15 minutes. There were 5 employees behind the bar and only two people seated at the bar. What took so long? Once our bottles and champagne were brought to the table we asked for a second class so that we could drink or champagne in our wine side-by-side and we were told that we could not have a second class because they were running low on glassware I looked back in the bar was full. I again asked for a second glass for all of us and she finally and reluctantly obliged. Lastly we wanted to put in a food order, and even though they already had our card on file and we’re at our table, the girl refused to put in the order unless we walked up to the bar. I’m sorry but you can’t key in a Charcuterie board and bring it out for us without us having to get back up and wait at the bar? It was just all-around ridiculous and none of us...
Read moreI was excited to try this place for the first time. To support the one star review, it was due to the staff. (Our experience) Unfortunately when we went to order, we were treated very poorly. My friend and I ordered together and he was looking for a suggestion on a good red, she gave him a sample, he then politely asked for something less bold. The lady at the counter yelled/rudely said “Well what do you mean??” And my friend said “any suggestions?” She walked away, came back with another bottle, aggressively poured, and we just wanted to be done with the transaction. So to hurry up, we just got a glass of whatever she poured. This interaction is so unfortunate because it seems like a cool modern establishment/very cozy. The way we were treated was just so unfortunate and it bothered us throughout the day. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed staff being so rude with a paying customer. The lady could have just been having a bad day/maybe something happened before she took our order, and totally understandable but maybe go take a breather for 5 minutes. We support our small businesses all along Main Street but this was the first unpleasant...
Read moreWe hosted an event at The Vine Room for our networking group and had a wonderful time! I worked with Em Baker on setting up the event and she nailed all the details- helped me select the right amount of food for our ever evolving guest list and ensured we were good to go. Our server Paul, made sure that no one had a dry glass. He was super engaging, shared what he liked about the different wines we had questions about as well as his experience with their wine club. Last but certainly not least, owner Ali Hanson was phenomenal! Our group is for women in technology and we had asked Ali to share her journey towards business ownership with our group. She nailed the casual conversation and hit home on some points that resonated with the group on thriving during a pandemic and employee retention and morale. THANK YOU Ali and team for helping us host the perfect event for the Alliance of Channel Women,...
