Today - my family and I ate at Fords Garage. Upon entering the restaurant we were not greeted and waited for a hostess for longer than we should have - as she sat us she did not ask if we needed a high chair or booster. We then proceeded to wait for our waitress which again took a bit longer than it would normally. The young lady passed our table telling she would be right with us. When she finally came to our table she apologized for the delay as their systems were down. We thought okay that makes sense - she had given us a reason for the delay we were okay with that. BUT .. we ordered .. an app, entrées and drinks at once since we had plenty of time to give the menu a once over. I kindly asked for a high chair, the waitress looked confused- “we have boosters .. and oh yes high chairs”. Needless to say she never attempted to get us a high chair so I looked for and grabbed one myself. She didn’t check us but the couple next to us had already received their drinks. The child’s food came out, she said our food would be out in a moment and gave us our waters and coke as I was still waiting for my bar beverage. She came to the table again to apologize that the appetizer had not gone through on the system but our food was up and she could still put it through but it would come up after our entree. We forewent the apps. When she delivered the food (which barely had any tots) she she said she would check on my drink - I told her to cancel the drink. She offered more tots and must have forgotten because we had to ask for the extra tots. I can understand having system issues but not communicating with your fellow staff to get the job done would have helped with this hiccup. And honestly I’m not sure that was the entire truth - since she avoided our table at some points. Keep in mind this is a Saturday night and barely anyone currently at this restaurant!!! I asked for a box which again took way longer than it should have. She asked if we wanted the dessert menu - apparently she couldn't read our utter disappointment. We said no then she had our check in hand to give us - funny how she didn’t have an issue to have that prepared. She left and the bill still had the appetizer. We waited again for her to come back so we could tell her. Again barley anyone there - we still waited and finally let her know. She said at least she had remembered to take the drink off. I dead panned- did she really just say that. She took our card and when she returned she thanked us for our patience and proceeded to tell us the systems were snack running. Seriously- after all that, that’s what you say. We were obviously not the only frustrated ones there tonight. But there were plenty of times during the evening the waitress could have stepped up her game. Overall the service from entry was atrocious. The food was decent. But needless to say- we will not...
Read moreOverall it was a 3.5 star experience. I can tell they’re still getting their feet under them after only a month open so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt with the 4th star and will update in a few months. We arrived around 6pm on a Tuesday. There were two people at the host stand when we entered, and they were pretty indifferent towards us. I’ll assume they haven’t yet been trained on how to greet customers and how to smile.
We were quoted a 5-10 minute wait and that’s exactly what we waited. We arrived at a great time because by the time we were being seated the lobby was full and new arrivals were being given a 30 minute wait time. We were seated at a spacious and comfortable booth with a great view of the suspended cars, which my children appreciated. Our waitress was quite a bit friendlier than the host staff.
The lemonade one of my children ordered was very watery, the machine probably needs to replace the syrup. I ordered a cocktail which also arrived a little watery on top, like it had sat for several minutes before delivery. It was otherwise fine…not amazing but not bad. My husband ordered a beer from the draft list, and the first one he ordered they ended up being out of. He found a replacement, but overall we did spend quite a bit of time trying to get everyone settled with a drink.
The kids both ordered a cheeseburger and enjoyed them. Their burgers were a great temp, very warm but not too hot. Their tots were just at room temp when they arrived though. The taste was good but warm to hot would have been better.
I ordered the brisket ranchero roadster burger and it was also just good. The flavor of the patty itself was great. The advertised bbq sauce seemed to be missing or barely there. Overall it was dry and needed more sauce or moisture from somewhere. The onion straws on the burger seemed cold and stale, definitely not crispy. The fries I ordered on the side were similar to the tots, good flavor but lukewarm.
My husband first ordered the specialty burger that was advertised but was then informed they were out of the chili that was supposed to go on it, so he instead ordered the Black and Bleu burger. He enjoyed it and the onion rings he got on the side were very good and much warmer than the tots and fries.
It was a little bit longer of an experience than we planned, but the kids likes the atmosphere. The flavor of most of the food was good, but everything seemed to take a little too long to come out (watery drinks, room temp sides). The waitress was friendly and nice, although the host and hostess were a bit lacking in friendliness. Considering that they just recently opened, I’ll give them a pass on these things and try again in a few months. We’re glad to have another restaurant in...
Read moreWe have dined many times at this Ford's location since its opening. We had family visiting and after a long day we just wanted a relaxing dinner. We were a table of 5 adults. We ordered Chicken Henry, Homemade Meatloaf, A full rack of ribs, and 2 orders of the new Corned Beef patty melt. The restaurant was not crowded as it was a Thursday evening. We arrived and were seated promptly at 7:15. Our server Alyssa was outstanding and the only highlight of the evening. We ordered our food and drinks within 10 minutes of being seated. Our drinks arrived quickly our food however arrived about 30 minutes after we placed our order. Our server Alyssa checked in on us while waiting and told us that there were a few orders ahead of us. We were ok with a little wait. When the food finally arrived it was all cold. Everything from the jalapeño corn, mashed potatoes, fries and main course, all cold. We let our server know and she apologized and said she would have everything remade. I think our food was sitting for a while before the runner brought it out to us. While Alyssa started our order again we asked to speak to the manager. The manager arrived and introduced himself as the manager but did not give his name. He apologized and said all the items would be made again. After waiting another 15-20 minutes our food finally arrived and it was all hot as it should have been in the beginning. Our quick relaxing dinner was not quick or relaxing. The manager never checked back with us to see if everything was okay. The last couple times we have dined in this Ford's location the food has been hit or miss, and I must say it has been more of a miss lately. When this location first opened it was so much better than it is now. I think this last time will probably be a last...
