After the recent negative reviews I came here prepared to be disappointed. But this place makes a wonderful pizza, i can personally attest to that. Here are the specifics: Yes, it takes a while to get it ready. I ordered a veggie pizza and it took about 30 minutes. But that's because they had a ton of orders ahead of me. And when it came out, it was hot and fresh out of the oven. Yes, the edges are broad. But they have. Parmesan baked on them, and the way this place makes their dough, these edges taste like bread sticks, or even better. They are crunchy and fluffy, and thoroughly enjoyable. No, the person that takes orders doesnt have an attitude. She is attentive to details. And she gets things done. Yes, the pizza tastes great. The crust is thin and crunchy throughout. The toppings aren't falling off when slice is picked up. I already mentioned the edges - thoroughly enjoyed them. Toppings are generous. It was good the next morning too. Price? Yes, it's kinda on the expensive side. But not outrageously so. I have seen worse pizza for more money. And even their "small" 12 inch pizza fed me in the evening with 2 slices left over for the morning. It's perfect for 1 person and the box can be easily strapped to the back of a motorcycle to eat it with the view of the nearby hills. Overall, it's basically the only pizza in town (other than pizza hut), they are doing a great job, support them when you can or you won't have any options if they shut down.

From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with kindness. The owner was taking orders & gave info about different selections. He had a BBQ rib special & when my partner asked how they tasted, the owner was very honest & said “well this batch isn’t my best, I couldn’t get them to fall off the bone but the flavor is great.” So we ordered a rib plate & a small “Mac on Fire” pizza… woooow just wow! The ribs are the best we’ve had traveling the country (including Memphis, Texas, NC, ect) & the pizza is soooo unique & flavorful! I think the owner said it took 32 tries to get the flavor right when creating the Mac on Fire. Do yourself a favor & stop here!

The pizza is good and the servers friendly. But $16.65 for a 12” pepperoni pizza served in a box with a paper plate seemed a bit pricey. It was the smallest pizza on offer. It would have been nice to have the option of buying it by the slice. They had decent live music playing inside. I chose to sit outside as they have many options, most with good shade. It is not fast food, so don’t go here if you’re in a hurry. But it is good. If I wasn’t traveling alone today, the 12” would have easily fed two (and would thereby not be over priced. If you’re in the mood for pizza and want to find a place to hang with friends, this is a good option in Hot Springs, SD.

Stopped here on a Monday evening after swimming at Evan's Plunge with my husband and 11 year old son. We were starving and in need of good family-style dining. Hot Springs dining doesn't offer tons of choices, especially in the off-season for tourism. They were open, and it's hard to mess pizza up too much, so we decided to give them a try. And we were completely blown away by a great dining experience.

Our host and hostess were completely wonderful. They welcomed us immediately with that perfect mix of professional service and small-town friendliness. We ordered a 14" pizza for our three hungry selves based on our host's recommendation of the heftiness of their pizza. My son got a bottle of creme soda, and the husband and I split a bottle of wine ($14 of amazing cab!!!).

The pizza came out quickly, and we dug in. The crust was sublime; it was crisp like a thin crust, but with a thick rounded crust that had more of a breadstick-like thickness, which turned out to be perfect for munching at the end of every delicious slice. The ingredients were all fresh. Our pie was half pepperoni and half green peppers and onions. The pepperonis were spicy without oozing grease. The veggies were clearly fresh and crisp. And the cheese! That mozz tasted every bit of fresh and gooey. Seriously, this pizza is worth the trip to Hot Springs all by itself.

But let's also talk about the people here. Ten minutes into our visit, a family arrived and sat at the booth behind ours. Unfortunately, the adults of the party were being held hostage by a 3 year old tyrant who refused to negotiate with his captors. He routinely kicked the seat, refused to be placated by mom's cell phone, and attempted an daring escape crawling out the door before their dine-in order was converted to a carry-out after his response to his capture turned out to be a first class screaming and kicking temper tantrum.

Our kindly hostess came over, sat down, and joked that the music portion of the night had come to an end. It was a nice gesture. She sat with us and chit-chatted. It was a refreshing save for what had been a rather uncomfortable experience. Small town friendliness tends to be a thing of the past in most places, but not at Big Time Pizza.

So, all in all, the pizza was incredible, the prices were fair, and the people were amazing. If you're in Hot Springs or near Hot Springs or driving by Hot Springs, YOU MUST STOP HERE. Being born and raised in Rapid City and having lived in Colorado for 25 years, it wounds my soul to think about all of the times I took the highway bypass and missed out on this small town culinary treasure. 5 ENTHUSIASTIC stars! We'll...

If there was a way to NOT put any stars, I would. My husband and I walked in thinking we would try out the local pizza joint and support them over the franchises in town, boy were we in for a surprise. To start with, we weren't greeted at all but was instructed where everything was by an extremely rude brunette, who acted like we just ruined her world that we walked in. Next, we tried to start up a small conversation and lighten the air but it was like she got more mad the more we spoke. So, we proceeded to just place our order. When we placed it, first thing our of her mouth was "Well, let me check to see if we even have that much buffalo for that size pizza." Sad thing, was that we only ordered a large. She came back and again rudely stated "they have just enough for that size." Next, was asking for extra cheese... never in my life have I been somewhere to where you could not order extra cheese. She rudely stated first that they don't do that and when we questioned it she told us it was because there was "no button" to add it on!! She then voluntarily but rudely said that it comes with plenty of cheese. Okay, so moving past that we also ordered the cheese sticks and the woman explained the size and we told her that we would end up taking those to go anyway. She proceeded to charge us for our food and we paid, then walked outside. We then noticed on our receipt that we were charged $40, which was fine until we looked on the itemized invoice and that was for the pizza alone!!! The rude woman never charged us for our cheese sticks! My husband went back inside and spoke with the gentleman and all he got was excuses on how they have expenses to cover. My husband and I aren't people that care how much something costs us you have great customer service, but this was absolutely ridiculous!! Lastly, once we received our pizza, cheese was burnt! So aggravating.

To save you the time and frustration, take your money and hungry bellies elsewhere. We will NEVER go back to this place again and we recommend you...
