BAD CHX - Medical Center, TX — Restaurant in Houston

Oof. Where do I begin. Went here to get a quick bite for dinner. I must admit I was a little hangry, and was looking forward to getting something in my belly! When I arrived the truck was empty. Waited a couple minutes and saw the truck guy walk out of the gas station. Hey, no problem. We all need bio breaks. The person working took my order and said it would take 15 minutes. While I was waiting a full 30 minutes, the back door to the truck was open. I guess the shift was changing in the middle of making my order, and the new guy licked his bare fingers, despite having gloves on previously, and immediately touched my bun. I got the ick, but I was so hungry! I ate the sandwich anyway, but told the worker that if I wasn't so hungry, I would've asked for a full refund! He tried to convince me that I didn't see what I saw, so I brushed it off and kept it moving. I got home with my food, and regretted eating it almost immediately. The chicken wasn't crispy, the waffle wasn't warm and it was soaked from the sauce and grease. The loaded fries had soggy fries and were completely inedible. I may have just gone there on a bad day, I guess, but they will never get the opportunity to prove they can do better because I will...

A food truck which I suppose currently is at 2 stations, one in houston and another in college station. Food : They specialize in hot spicy Tennessee like fried chicken burgers. Definitely 5 stars considering the taste and the preparation. They have also started making chicken wings on demand, and those too are also hot battered wings. Very nice tasting. Oily fried but tasty. Service: very friendly guys, but the order service is slow and sometimes the call is not picked up, so a 3.5 to 4 star Service over here. Sometimes the wait is upto 15 minutes, not because it's packed, but they are short staffed. Area: located on Almeda on a gas station lot. A safe area with ample parking.

Overall: 4 stars. Other than the Service part, everything else is good. And since this is a food place, it's the taste that matters and they really have a unique selling point on that note. The food is heavy and spicy, so not for people who don't like spice, and we are talking chilly here. The " lava" level is the topmost level which in my opinion is too hot even for someone like me who can tolerate very very high level of spices.

Incredible Experience at Bad CHX Food Truck - A Must-Try!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Bad CHX food truck near the Medical Center on OST, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, Hussam and Adham provided exceptional service, making me feel right at home.

The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Nashville hot chicken, and it was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of spice. The sides were just as impressive, especially the fries, which were seasoned to perfection.

What really stood out to me, though, was the attention to detail and the passion Adham and Hussam have for their craft. They were so friendly and made sure everything was just right. It's clear they take great pride in what they do, and it shows in every bite.

If you're in the area near the Medical Center, do yourself a favor and stop by Bad CHX. Whether you're a fan of hot chicken or just looking for a stellar customer experience, you won't be disappointed. Thanks again to Adham and Hussam for a fantastic service —I’ll definitely be back the next time...
