Please Please PLEASE stop playing music outside. I work in one of the surrounding buildings, and like hundreds of other workers, I take my lunch break out in the park. Not a single person that I work with enjoys the music; it is actually annoying, disturbing, and overstimulating. Nobody wants to listen to dua lipa at 11am. Healthcare workers dont want to go outside to listen to loud, bright, pop music. We want to listen to the sound of the water features and the birds signing, and we can put up with the construction noises. But please, at the very least consider switching the playlist to a more neutral and serene genre of music. Playing loud, obnoxious pop music is such a bad choice, but it is a CHOICE! PLEASE TURN IT OFF! Helix Park is meant to be an inclusive space right? But the music feels so offensive to neurodiverse ears. Same thing with the informational screens located throughout the park.
