Utter garbage. Like, not only is this food truck parked right next to a REEKING garbage dumpster (good luck standing outside waiting for your order), but the food itself is trash. The fries are the cheap frozen crinkle-cut variety that they serve soggy straight out of the fryer with no seasoning or salt. The sandwiches are these tiny things with zero flavor (and mostly lettuce because they're very stingy on the proteins), plus they're wrapped in store-bought pita/naans that taste like leather. Oh, and no sodas, they upsell you to these heinous juice mixes where everything tastes like kale/jalapeno/cilantro. Who the heck sells gyro sandwiches and not have soda options? Absolutely pathetic.

And don't think for a second that it's good value. A sub-par sandwich with fries & juice costs over $20; this is Houston, not NY/LA, get outta here with that high-priced nonsense!

It's a food truck, they barely have overhead. Further proof that this pandemic gave birth to another pandemic of greed, and there are too many sleazy unethical restaurants taking full advantage of the situation. I honestly hope this place shuts down soon.

Please don't eat here. Learn this lesson vicariously through...

The service appeared to be great at first but was all a front. I had two items I order to discover once I arrived were unacceptable. I ordered a falafel sandwich “without” onions & with pickled jalapeños. There was onions on the sand which and no pickled jalapeños. My second order was a falafel over rice. Once I opened the bowl, it “literally” had a puddle of white sauce over half of the bowl. The bowl was disgusting due to the overwhelming flavor of the white sauce. This definitely was the fault of the gentlemen taking our order. Not only did he drenched the bowl in sauce but he did NOT communicate to the cooks our order because if he would have written the order down correctly as it appeared, the cooks clearly would have seen NO Onions! To make matters worse, he drenched the bowl in front of me!! Will not be returning here and I suggest you check your order before you leave. Another unsanitary practice I noticed was the gentlemen who took my order was smoking before he placed my order, was not wearing any gloves while his sweat was dripping on...

I’ve had enough of this location at this point. Today their food upset my stomach. I’ve been a customer at this location since it first opened up in 2013. It used to be the best food in the area but lately it just sucks! Portions are small, salad is old and moldy, and chicken and rice both are hard and sometimes burnt. Today I received two orders and both had little portions. Rice and chicken were burnt and salad had water underneath it that transferred into the rice and chicken and made it wet and soggy. There was very little rice in the box and it’s mostly big burnt pieces of chicken. When I try talking to the workers at the food truck, they respond rudely and will try to gaslight you into believing the food is perfect. I met the owner in 2013 and he was a sweet guy from New York but his workers are driving the quality to the ground. Highly dissatisfied. I won’t be coming here anymore after 12 years of being a customer. Fannin location is much better. Better customer service. I’d suggest you stay away and go to the Fannin location that’s only...

Food 4/5: we got the chicken over rice and the combo shawarma fries. Both dishes were great and came with a lot of sauce on the side so we could customize to our personal preferences. The red sauce is delightfully spicy (but not TOO spicy) and the white sauce is wonderfully creamy, garlicky, and tzatziki adjacent. The only thing I would say was semi negative was that there was much more rice than meat, which caused the flavor to be a little more diluted than I’d like. The texture of the chicken could have been a bit more juicy as well, like how I would normally think of shawarma, but the crispy chicken was still really good and worked well. Service was 5/5: They made our order in literally 2 minutes. We timed it. It actually was 2 minutes. Atmosphere 4/5: It’s a food truck. I have nothing against it. In fact I kind of love food trucks as a quick grab n go kind of place, but of course, there’s no seating so I can’t, in good conscience, offer a full 5/5 for atmosphere. Overall 4/5: Food was great, service was quick. Lots of food for the price as well!

My friend ordered a chicken gyro for me and one for her. I wasn't too sure I would like it. It's nice and fat first of all. I knew I was going to be satisfied. I thought it would be a small gyro and i would still be hungry. I was wrong. I loved it. It was delicious. Every last bit of it. It's funny, I have been to this gas station and have smelled the food cooking but I was too intimidated to go over and order. The area is not very safe and it was late when I was there. Next time I will order online and just stop and pick it up. ***UPDATE*** ordered the chicken over rice with extra sauce and picked it up. Delicious! Full of flavor and cooked perfectly! You get a lot of food for the price——I have gone back every chance I get! You won’t be disappointed!!! I also had juice E—loved it!

Too many Halal places sprung around Medical Center since my first review. Food was okay and salad decreased in quantity and variety. They too have grown big to care much! I told them no lettuce but he didn't listen. Then when i repeated myself, the cashier said that i didn't say that at first😳 When I stood my ground he said that there won't be any salad for the lack of lettuce. At this point, I had already made up my mind not to ever return again to this food truck! Bye... The gas station it sits in seemed a little dark but GK's bright LEDs will catch your attention.
