Big John's Ice House — Restaurant in Houston

Last time my husband and I were here, there weren't any tacky pictures (naked girls in the men's restroom and half naked me in the women's restroom) hanging up in the restrooms. Guess what? They're all hung back up. Not only that, but this time, their sign at the entrance has the bars name with girls butts showing. (Right next to a children's taekwondo business) This is not how to keep valuable customers coming back, it's how you lose business and get bad reviews. This will be the last time we go there. Free roll poker is good but not when you have to put your head down every time you need to use the restroom. I would post pictures, but it's distasteful and disrespectful. Clean it up and please put the outdoor bar to use. Wasted asset there. I wish I could buy this bar. So many wasted opportunities to make more money..... Clean it up and post pictures and I might change my mind on coming back. I'm sure others are thinking...

On saturday, I met up with a friend here to grab a couple drinks. The atmosphere was fantastic.The live music was great.The food was okay.I liked it enough to eat it and not complain.But I almost wanted another burger. However, there was a mix up with payment. I got charged twice.When the second charger should have gone to my buddy's card. Because it's the weekend that's not gonna show up in our bank accounts until at least monday or tuesday at the latest. So when I saw that I was double charged today, I attempted to show up and have them rectify the mistake. I don't know who the older lady is at the bar during the daytime, but she's absolutely terrible with customer service. The rest of the staff were cool, tho . Apparently, they don't have a manager available until Friday. Understandable given the holiday. Anyways, I'm sure it'll...

This place has a lot of pros and cons. I'll start with the Pros: this is one of the few bars with free poker, the food is actually quite good I was very impressed with the buffalo strips and the burger, the live music has been decent aswell and the staff usually ask me if I need another drink before I finish. Cons: NO Draft beer, that is a shame for me to go to an established bar with only bottled beer, also it's not so classy to have porno line the walls of the men and women's bathroom, I know it's a dive bar but it still makes it not so cool when I'm there with the wife for free poker, and lastly I don't like looking up on a Saturday night at 11pm with young kids trotting...
