Read moreI should note that I generally do not order sweet drinks at coffee shops. A cappuccino option is my go-to drink at many coffee shops and it wasn't clear to me that they had it until I re-looked at the menu at home (it's listed as Latte/Capp). The pricing option was on the higher end for the favorites ($5.50-$6.00), and standard for drip coffee ($3.05).
Attended on their opening day on February 10, 2023 when drinks were complimentary, with a group. The drive-through line was 10+ cars deep so I went inside, and there wasn't much of a line. I ordered two smoothies and it took about 5 minutes despite the long drive-thru line. Someone who ordered a basic coffee got their drink within 3 minutes (and they arrived after me).
I got to sample the following drinks:
Nitro Cold Brew: 3.5/5. Smooth, but lacking any intense flavors and with a little too much ice that disrupts the drink and waters it down.
Americano: 2.5/5. Watered down a little too much. Similar to the nitro cold brew, it was lacking any flavor notes.
Strawberry Smoothie: 3/5. Inconsistent texture as layers will separate quickly. The thicker part is the consistency of a shake somehow, but the watery parts separate quickly. See video. The strawberry tastes far too sweet and sweetness is not customizable.
Peach smoothie: 3/5. Basically the same comments as the strawberry smoothie.
During their opening, the only smoothie flavors available were strawberry and peach. I was told that mango, green apple, and wildberry would be available starting the next day.
Overall, I can see this being a nice hangout spot for a lot of Stratford students and a better coffee stop than Starbucks for people that enjoy sweeter drinks. Plus for fast service, minus for a slightly confusing menu and for the watered down taste...
Read moreI had an Iced Mexican mocha with almond milk, and a black coffee. Milk choices include soy, almond, and oak. Unless you ask to change it all drinks are made with 2% milk. My drink tastes good but I need more cinnamon and more vanilla for my taste. Lots of electrical sockets for people wanting to work or study while they have coffee. Variety of guests including a business meeting, friends chatting, school age kids, or just people grabbing a coffee like me. For speed and efficiency they follow the chick fila method for the drive through. They rotate associates with a tablet to take your order and have you pay. My drinks were ready and waiting before I could even finish paying at the register inside.
Black coffee small, bold is all they brew. It was ok but not as strong as I prefer it to be. I drink mine with no sugar no cream just black. So the taste of the coffee is key for me. They must use a blend because I couldn't discern a single origin or flavor profile. Pastry case was empty looking and not styled well at all. Lights inside the case were not turned on so it didn't really draw your attention or desire to purchase a pastry. The rice Krispy treats by the register looked of good size but again appeared to have just been thrown in a bowl/container. The free loyalty program was quick to enroll in just using your phone number. Dinning room and restroom were very clean Open Monday -...
