The hotel itself is good. Rooms are nice and clean, decor is OK but can use some modernization, but overall not bad. Rooms are good. Amenities are good. I don't stay here for the hotel to be honest, I stay for the staff and the type and level of service they provide. Everyone here is very very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The kitchen and bar staff are simply amazing, and I can speak for others when I say they are simply amazing people. Monica and Marino focus on what a bar should be and can make an array of drinks, very knowledgeable. They service levels and professionalism is just amazing. Proactive staff with a level of service you can't get at even the ultra high-end hotels. Front end staff - Hunter, this kid is almost at the same level as Monica and Marino. Very reactive and professional, takes a proactive approach, I'm still very impressed. Kitchen food is also pretty good as well, made to order and full of flavour. Hotel is pretty good, but the staff really makes up for areas the hotel lack.

Nice newer hotel facility. The best noteworthy attribute is that it is a quiet hotel to stay at in regards to outside noises from roadways, etc. It is 7 stories too, which is larger then many Garden Inn hotel facilities. The staff are as friendly as can be, and all polite and helpful. Parking can be tough out front, but spots are available all around the hotel. The onsite restaurant will provide breakfast and evening dining options, and there are adult beverage options as well. The facility has some nice mid-sized meeting rooms available for a team huddle. The pool is outdoors and has a nice waterfall feature for ambiance. This is definitely a better lodging option for a business or casual trip to Houston vs. some of the more downtown options. Access to the highway is close by too, and is 35 min or so to the IAH Int'l Airport. There are good shopping and dining options all around the "Energy Corridor" business facilities that cater more toward the business traveler.

Me and my wife always comes to this hotel and the workers always accommodate us every time we come the experience is amassing. But today me wife woke up on dirty filthy moldy pillows. Our faces was on these pillows. We want the housekeeper who allowed this to be held accountable. We woke up with huge migraines and feeling light headed. We thought we just slept badly but in all reality it was that moldy dirty pillow making us feel this way. I am truly disgusted. The front desk clerk Ethel Jackson tried her best to accommodate but couldn’t refund us due to us paying weeks in advance.

This will be the most honest and accurate review you will read...

People have a terrible tendancy to be too nice when they ought not be, I do not suffer from this vice.

So read this review slowly and take it in before you make a foolish life choice.

This facility is a great example of the sin of omission of accuracy.

I am a frequent traveler and take my family on the road often. Hotels are just a common place in our life.

We are in hotels weekly and this IS NOT a typical Hilton Garden Inn.

To be short, this hotel is a total let down. I am amazed that its ratings are so high.

The rooms are sub-par for hotels in this caregory, the facilities are clean, but the value is not there.

Here is what I hate...They nickle and dime your wallet, charging $12.00 a person for breakfast and even charging for coffee in the lobby (a Keureg hidden behind a wall).

Every other HGI we have stayed at has FRIGGIN FREE COFFEE.

I doubt they will do anything to fix this practice.

For a family of 4, you would be better off just paying more to stay at an Embassy Suites.

The rooms are also very warm. We had the AC cranked up to full blast and it was still uncomfortable.

The bedding materials seen cozy at first, then they begin to suffocate you, with a comforter that traps in so much body heat, that you feel like you are baking by 4am in the morning. The other bedding option is a sheet, but even with just this, you feel like you might as well be wrapping yourself in plastic wrap.

The mattresses also are very stiff.

The staff try to be helpful and are nice, but the hotel is just overall a failure in the realm of hospitality.

Summary: It really is just a Motel 6 in a fancy suit. Sorry to be honest here.

I could pay less for a crappy night sleep and get a FREE friggin waffle and some coffee when my punished body wakes up from a sweat filled evening.

For better values, go to the Crown Plaza, Omni, or Hamilton Inn in the area, or just pay a little more money and go to the Embassy Suites or any other slightly higher-end hotel.

Nice things I have to say: It is clean, the pool seems nice, and so does the workout room.

This all aside, I could have slept in my car if I wanted to be uncomfortable all night, saving about $100, and if I wanted to pay close to $50.00 for breakfast for my family, I have countless options in this area.

I hate saying this, but if you have other options in this area, take them. NO. REALLY. TAKE THEM.

As a business owner, I really want to say nice things, but I can't. People are misleading you in their lazy and nice reviews here.

I really want to like this place, but I want to feel pampered if I am staying at a hotel...free things help add to this experience.

Here, I feel like Spitit Airlines just decided to run a facility.

Even if I was refunded the money wasted staying here, I would feel like my time and my family's comfort...

Arrived back to our hotel on the second evening to the smell of marijuana smoke on the first floor of the hotel, and when we got to our room, the smell was so strong our kids were coughing and couldn't bear to stay in the room. After multiple conversations with hotel staff to try to resolve, we were met with comments like "when this happened before it was really hard to tell what room it was coming from" and "well, it can't be that room - those people have been in there for two weeks". The hotel staff never took a single action to try to remedy the situation and offered no options for us. All of their other rooms were booked so we couldn't move rooms - we even checked around 10 hotels in the area because we were going to pack up and go somewhere else. Unfortunately none of those hotels had rooms available either. So we spent the next couple of hours getting additional blankets, pillows, packing up our children's bags and moving them to my parents room so they could sleep there on the floor, while my husband and I stuffed washrags into our bathroom vent to try to prevent some of the marijuana smoke from billowing through into our room. We closed the bathroom door and opened our entrance to try to air it out, but it never went away. Really miserable night and I can assure you we will never again reserve a room at a Hilton Garden Inn. Worst hotel experience I have ever had. But I guess if you like to smoke a lot of weed in your hotel room, this is the place to check in to. Fun for you, miserable for families connected to the same ventilation!! And staff don't seem to...

At our stay, we experienced friendly staff, a comfortable room, consistently good shower temperatures, tasty breakfast, and decent wifi speeds. Bathroom design in most of the rooms is somewhat of a problem (ie- fogging mirrors and general door placement impeding your exit from room if open), but those are fundamental construction elements and I don't see that changing much in the future. They also happen to be the first hotel I've seen that is officially moving to electronic keys that you get from their app instead of mag strip cards from the front desk (though cards are still obtainable on request).

I personally had trouble getting the app to give me a copy of the key until I found out that they only allow ONE key electronically (my dad having already claimed the first one). I recognize the security aspect of this choice, however I also believe that if anything can compromise their app for 1 key, having 2 or 3 for the other family members wouldn't change much. Should someone's phone be stolen or lost - simply informing the front desk to invalidate all active keys for your room would be sufficient. The last step for Hilton would be to force logout your account everywhere its signed in, so that new keys could be reissued safely to remaining family who still have their smartphones.

Overall my experience was still positive, with just the above points as areas for improvement. Would still recommend a Hilton to someone staying from...
