Blodgett Fish Market — Restaurant in Houston

I saw a prior post and totally agree. I gave 3 stars because the fish and shrimp were really good, not fantastic but good. The reason I did only give 3 stars was the OUTRAGEOUS PRICES for a small bottle of water, sodas and and extra tarter sauce. The attended service was decent, just rude as a first time customer and I will not go back. The place is eclectic with the old video game consoles as tables, which were never wiped down. It looks like a jail, and there isn't a public bathroom. The food cost itself is decent, but for a drink and if you want and extra tarter sauce it will cost you extra. All the chairs are torn and ripped. If you can stand it, there are metal chairs also. Nice portion for the price, just would not go out of my way for this food. The parking is also a nightmare if they are crowded as there are only 3 game consoles used as tables. And the parking only has about 3 or 4 parking spaces for this...

Delicious food but FYI the fish sandwich I got wasn't the one I wanted . Someone told me come here and get one that is a big piece of fish idk I ended up with some snack size fish on my sandwich. I would needed about 3 of them to get full. Where they lack fish they made up for with fries. A order of fries is great for 2 people. That fish was so good I will be back for more. My husband got a double meat cheeseburger he really liked it alot. And he likes the amount of fries he received. I liked the egg roll but it could have been a little bigger. Maybe I'm just fat but the portions were a little small. I spent $20 . Im gonna go back ans try other items. The service was good. But the lobby is plain with chairs. Order to go basically. The taste of the food...

The three star rating has nothing to do with the quality of the food it was a good meal. Everything was fresh, nicely seasoned and hot 🔥. The hamburger was an average frozen patty but it was moist and meaty served on a toasted bun. It was a step above a regular burger from one of the big 3 fast food hamburger joints. The fried rice with wings was delicious. Reasonable price and generous serving. Everything was cooked fresh to order. The cashier was friendly and I wish I could honestly give them 4 stars. The building leaves a lot to be desired. Dirty, dingy and depressing. If a person didn't know the food was great they probably would not step foot in the door. Thus the 3 stars, because the place...
