I saw this amazing sweater that the store only had in a large on Nov 15. The store rep immediately placed a call and found it in my size. She said she would personally pick it up and I could pick it up on the following Wednesday Nov 20th. Unfortunately the store was closed on that day for a holiday party. I rushed over the following day before closing and my item was not there nor did the rep have a clue as to who I was. After a phone call it was suggested that the item be delivered to my home. To which I declined because I agreed to the purchase based on the agreement that I could pick it up on Wednesday. I returned to store on Nov 27, and the store rep said the sweater had not arrived however a shipment was due to arrive later that day. Now I'm a little upset because I was told that she was personally picking up my item not that it would be apart of a shipment. Today is Nov 29, and it's been two weeks and apparently my sweater was not apart of the shipment on Wednesday. I'm beyond upset. I would not have purchased the sweater if I knew it wouldn't be available with in the time frame promised and the store is refusing to give me a refund for a item I don't have. I absolutely love this boutique, however communication and honesty are a priority for me. I understand policy, which I wasn't aware of the refund policy. Read moreLast Saturday, I bought a romper from the boutique for a birthday outing. I really like the color and the fit. My only concern were my breasts but the sales rep suggested a remedy for that. While getting ready, I noticed a small hole in the front, because of the time, I had to safety pin it. I headed out the door and when I arrived at the gas station, my sister noticed another gaping hole near my thigh. Another hole emerged in the back after being at the birthday spot after an hour.
I came in today and the sales representative told me of their return policy. I explained that I believed as a business owner they should be able to stand behind their product. I spent close to $100 only to have to staple the fabric throughout the night. I was given the phone number of the owner/manager, and she explained the store policy yet again, and I stressed the timeline. She became condescending within the conversation which was extremely unprofessional.
I believe in supporting black owned businesses but I think they are used to certain clientele which prevents them from having empathy. I’m disappointed to say the least and I will not return...
