2021 Review - 1/5 TL:DR - food is still good. Drinks are strong. Customer service needs a lot of work. My two recent visits to Chachos were supremely disappointing. I bought one of the breakfast plates and paid with my card. Next day, I was on a flight to New Mexico and received a call from my card's fraud department. Apparently someone was trying to use my card at a race track. I had only used that card at Chachos for the year, so I thought that was a bit strange. Because of that, I haven't frequented Chachos as much. Placed an order tonight and almost immediately after the cashier told me the order total (with attitude), I asked if I could add wings. No response. Waited a couple of minutes, no response. Drove up to the window and asked again, to which they responded it was too late to add wings to my order. So y'all couldn't have just said that at the intercom? And ya seriously couldn't have rung me up for wings and have me wait (which I happily would've done). It's crazy because Chachos is a place I want to love and brag on but, good grief, they make it hard for you to want to root for them. 2017 Review - 3/5 Chachos is my favorite go-to spot for some tasty margaritas or pina coladas - trust me get the large. I also enjoy their breakfast plate (although they regularly get my order wrong) and I frequently utilize their drive-thru. The few times that I have gone in to the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, it is not really a visually pleasing restaurant, but they make up for it with their tasty food. I typically get their bacon and eggs plate (hold the beans and potatoes) with cheese. I expect I will continue to visit this place since they give you a lot of food! And I do mean a lot (!!!) for a very affordable price.

10/08/2022 - CAUTIOUS: 2nd time Food Poisoning. I will NEVER eat from here again. First time ever getting food poisoning. I was miserable! This used to be my to go to spot. The food was usually fresh and good. With the to go Margarita’s esp late night. Last night, my fiancé and I brought food (2 tacos and quesadillas and some drinks) there. Upon biting into the quesadilla, I noticed a substantial amount of cheese. I barely ate a whole piece and ate around the dense cheese part. Wasn’t feeling it so I ate the steak taco instead. 15 mins later, I started feeling strange. This overwhelming feeling came over me and started to feel nauseous and light headed. Let me spare you of all the details. That was the worst night I’ve had. I was throwing up and going all night. Fever and headache. I couldn’t keep anything down. I was miserable. This is not the first time, my fiancé ate from there a couple months ago and had mild food poisoning reaction compared to mine. I assumed it was probably something he had earlier that day. I believe it may have been from the cheese however, it could have been from the steak as well. Point is, this is the second time and I’m still recovering. A couple months ago, I googling Chacos location for the address and it read business closed. It’s been corrected now however, ever since the drive thru line has been short and much more manageable than before. The line used to be wrapped around the restaurant. Wonder if something happened. I would be in line for like 30-45mins getting food and now it’s like 10-15 mins. Strange. Consider yourself informed and Be Careful! *photos of food the next day*

For over a decade I have always gone to Chachos to order the same thing. Shredded chicken puffy taco. Sometimes i will get nachos as well. On May 15 At 2 am and instead of getting a crispy puffy taco, I was given something that looked like It was sitting in a bucket of water. The taco shell was soggy, falling apart and looked uncooked. I tried calling to talk to a manager about my order, with no success because no one ever answers the phones. And when I tried going back the line was wrapped around the building, so I figured I would come back another day to see if give me what I actually ordered. Instead, the lovely manager didn’t care and told me that’s how the puffy tacos look like “because of the juice from the shredded chicken.” However when I showed his employee the video, his exact words were “that’s not a puffy taco” and was confused why the manager made me pay again vs giving It to me for free. Below you will see the soggy taco I was given and what a puffy taco actually looks like. I was also shocked that the Manager told me that It would be perfectly fine for me to dispute the charge with my bank.

TL;dr: Dont go here while the black guy who works late evenings works here. He is a menace and should be dismissed immediately:

I work overnight near this place and it used to be a haven for my coworkers and me as a break from the regular fast food restaurants that are open overnight. Let me just say the experience has gotten progressively worse over the years to the point that none of my coworkers will go there anymore. I have a weakness for the enchiladas so I dealt with the ever worsening food quality, the long lines at the drive thru, and the more often than not rude service you get from several (not all) of the employees.

The final kicker for me has been the guy who works late evening/overnight at the register. I never caught his name but he's the middle aged black guy who could or could not be the manager. In my last four visits I have seen him come out to the drive way and cuss at people in their cars, throw the bags of food and credit cards back at them, castigate people at the window, and overall just have a very unpleasant disposition.

Well tonight before work I go in and of course there's a long line at the drive thru. That's fine, but I'm noticing the 2 to 3 cars ahead of me are waiting at the kiosk and I'm not hearing the microphone takt their order. I pay attention to the car in front of me and see that they're not yelling their order into the microphone and just drive up. At this point I'm at the kiosk and after a few minutes I yelled out hello and spoke into it to see if it were down and were we just going to have to order at the window. After approximately 10 minutes of waiting in that same spot, I got no response asking for my order so I pulled up behind the car at the window. After waiting another 5 minutes there I get to window and greet the man who tells me I was "messed up" and I wasn't supposed to order at the window. I told him I didn't know the kiosk was working as I had been sitting in that spot for 10 minutes and never had anyone ask me for my order. In fact I had seen him look right at me and turned away so what was I supposed to assume besides that broken down dilapidated kiosk wasn't working (again). He said that wasn't his problem and that he didn't take my order cause they were "going through an issue" and that I had to go back around to the back of the line which was now at least 9-10 cars deep. I tried to explain my case, I had been waiting in line for 25 minutes, I called out to see if the kiosk was even working which historically it was known for going out from time to time and you had to order from the window, I had waited 10 minutes at that kiosk anyway and never had anyone say anything to me, and told him I had to get to work. He responded by asking are you going back around or not? I told him I had no time so he closed the window on me.

I normally don't leave complaints, much less reviews, especially of this length but I need people to know this was not some random bad experience and I'm just someone who wants to be a "Karen". This place has consistently gone down hill but it was tolerable until this guy working the register that I described got there. I'm surprised I haven't seen some news story where someone has done something drastic to him. He is that bad of an individual and if Chachos had a "Contact Us' section on their webpage I would let them know about their employee who is a cancer on the entire customer service industry. He should immediately be dismissed and discouraged from ever working around people again for not only the peace of mind of the people he would interact with but...
