First time at Coastline Artisan Pizzeria at 1720 Houston Avenue for lunch on Saturday at about 11:45. Cute place with a friendly vibe and very pleasant dining room. About 10 or 12 tables for 2 to 4 and 10 bar seats. I realize I am not sure if they had music playing or not. It was about half full most of the time and the noise level was great, and I didn’t notice.

They offer a variety of small plates, a house salad and tomato bisque. They have two types of pizza, “Napoletana” and “Grilled Pizza". I had a House salad for $10, two glasses of Chardonnay for $10 each, a Diet Coke for $2, and I had the Motherland pizza (grilled) for $16 and added pepperoni and Italian sausage for $3 each. My bill was $72.71 including tax and 22% tip. Right on point for the price was the quality of the food and two glasses of wine.

The House Salad was good, nothing special but crisp and fresh, a perfect size and had just enough shaved Parmesan. The vinaigrette was subtle and could have been a little more present.

The pizza was AMAZING! Among the best I have had for a very long time! The combination of marinara and pesto was delicious. The other ingredients were plentiful, and the sauce and spices were incredibly flavorful. The crust was crispy (I like it very crispy, and it was perfect for me). I didn’t stop to think about the difference between the Napoletana style pizza and the grilled. My neighbors had the Napoletana, and they looked delicious and perfectly cooked as well. I had to show great restraint to not eat more than half! I cannot recommend this pizza enough!

The service was good. Once we got over two small humps, he was great. He was friendly and just the right level of attentiveness.

Two minor gripes. Because I often dine alone, I notice how singles are treated. When I entered, I was asked if I “was one,” and when I said yes, the server said, “Have a seat at the bar.” He didn’t ask if I wanted to sit there. There were two two-top tables available, so I asked to sit at one and he hesitated and said “okay”. It is a smaller place but for the hour I was there at least one other two top tables were open and really, a couple can do just as well at the bar as a single. If it had been full and the only option for others would have been to wait, I can understand, but not when there is seating available for 16ish other people available. Second my wine did not show up until halfway through my salad. The bartender could have easily moved things along faster if he wasn’t chatting with a coworker or manager who was sitting at the bar. He didn’t seem in any hurry. Otherwise, the server was great (4 stars!).

Overall, an excellent experience and I will definitely return soon. I highly recommend Coastline Artisan Pizzeria. I can’t wait to return and bring some friends and try...

I would like share this place discriminated me by not letting me sit were I wanted. As I walked in I did not appreciate the service the frist thing I was told " Are you picking up" I mean I did not notice the staff ask any one else other than me and my colleague. If I was picking up food thier i did know thier was a dress code, I should have been told to dress up because I would of been happy to wear my suite maybe i would have of been able to sit anywhere I wanted. Afther I told them I'm not picking up were dining in. Immediately this person with green, black nail anglo male whom did not have a name tag . Yelled ! "No bob you can sit thier because it was reserved" Clearly thier was no reserved sing thier on the table nore no sign saying were to sit! Dam, Bad customer service, this people forgot the customer frist. Then I guess to shut me me told me the table is dirty let me clean the table because it dirty. So I asked the man excuse me your telling me I can sit here but on in the back ! That was done disrespectful and rediculas. I didn't see any hispanic people eating thier . Afther I sat were I was told like a good boy because you cant sit were you want only were they want you to sit. I'm upset, i felt violated and my rights violated down the drain. You what afther was told were to sit , been disrespected the hell with this place. Im going also share this with channel who went thier that this place disrespect people and if they don't like basically go sit outside. I decided to leave the service sucks, they want to acted like a 5 star restaurants I have had a extremely phenomenal experience at "Fogo De Choa" in short & sandal to top it off as I was leaving the man who told me I cannot sit were I want did not bother to stop as I was walking out of the establishment he shoved me, did not stop to let me pass is like I did not exist, just hit me while your added. Dam never been so disrespected. This dude with the black, green nail s did not stop to let me go by this man who serviced me was rude, disrespectful, no dam manners. I mean harassed, asulted, was not allowed to sit were I wanted because of bogus reason . Its clear they did not want me in this dump of a hole in the wall asbestos infested place I believe if I would of been dressd differently they would have let me sit wearever I wanted. Hate the service dam rude as heck dude whom served me Also parking sucks very limited they will tow your car another person told me.....DO NOT...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Coastline Artisan Pizzeria with my friends Ernesto Rodriguez, Dylan Cherry, and Forrest Darling, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant, we were greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that instantly made us feel at ease.

To quench my thirst, I decided to try the Beverage Watermelon Cooler, and boy, was it refreshing! The combination of watermelon, cherry, tomato shrub, lime, and soda created a delightful burst of flavor that perfectly complemented the meal to come. It was the ideal choice to kickstart the evening.

As for appetizers, we couldn't resist ordering the Meatballs. Made with a blend of beef, pork, and smothered in the house tomato sauce, they were simply divine. Each bite was packed with flavor, and the addition of the parmigiano reggiano added a delightful richness to the dish. It was the perfect way to whet our appetites for the main event.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the pizzas. We tried two of their signature creations, The OG and the Margherita, and both were outstanding. The OG, topped with mozzarella, Italian sausage, peperoncini, ricotta, habanero honey, basil, and house tomato sauce, was a flavor explosion. The combination of ingredients created a perfect balance of heat, sweetness, and savory goodness. It was a true culinary masterpiece.

The Margherita, a classic favorite, did not disappoint either. The use of D.O.P San Marzano tomatoes and mozzarella di bufala gave the pizza an authentic and traditional taste. The fresh basil added a fragrant touch, and every bite transported me to the streets of Italy.

Aside from the mouthwatering food, Coastline Pizzeria also impressed with its fantastic (I maybe biased) art and ambiance. The restaurant's interior was tastefully decorated, creating a cozy and stylish atmosphere. It provided the perfect backdrop for a wonderful evening filled with great food and even better company.

Overall, I can't recommend Coastline Pizzeria enough. From the delicious food to the inviting ambiance, every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch. Whether you're a pizza aficionado or simply looking for a great place to enjoy a meal with friends, Coastline Pizzeria is the place to be. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

I’m already looking forward to returning with my sister, Misty Tilotta Boaz and my friend Vannette...

*** Updated Review: NOT SUCH A FAN. Came back here last night for dinner. Unfortunately, it was totally disappointing. The service was good, but the pizza was burned. Ordered 3 different pizzas, 1 flathead and 2 round. All 3 had the crust tops burned and all we could taste was burned crust. The oven is too hot, guys! Original Review: This tiny pizzeria is incredible! The service is terrific, and the simple, but trendy decor feels comfortable and familiar. Their drink menu is also large enough to accommodate most wine, beer or cocktail tastes. The lunchtime pizzas are a thin crust flatbread style that rocks!!! They also offer a personal size pizza and salad combo that's a great smaller option. Dinner and happy hour choices include appetizers and large trasditipnal pizzas. Dishes are priced at about $14-20 and drinks are from $3 (beer) up. This is a really great neighborhood pizzeria. I'll be back!
