Came in during their Grand Opening day for lunch and was taken care of by Hugo, who did an amazing job. Was very attentive and checked up on us frequently, so we were never having to hunt down someone for service.
We tried a couple of things on the menu and everything we had tasted great. Some notes on what we ordered:
Appetizers: Naruto - Some raw fish wrapped in a cucumber slice. Had Salmon, Tuna, Avocado, and Imitation Crab. One of my favorite items to order anywhere I go.
Takoyaki - Octopus Ball, mainly batter with a bit of Octopus inside. Topped with Kewpie mayo and Bonito Flakes. Immensely enjoyed these, so much that we ended up placing another order near the end. Appreciate that it didn't seem like they deep fry them like some other places I've been to have.
Chicken Karaage - Not like the ones I've had at other places, they're not round and remind me more of popcorn chicken you find at boba shops, except they didn't have the same seasoning. Nice to munch on.
Shumai - These surprisingly were deep fried. Boyfriend liked them but I found them just okay.
Seafood Soup - This came with tofu and pieces of shrimp. Was okay in my opinion.
Special Rolls: Cow Boy - Boyfriend really enjoyed this one. The steak they put on top really complimented the roll well.
Akuma - Pretty good roll. Nothing memorable or unique about it, which isn't bad.
Nigiri: Salmon - Similar quality to other sushi places. I liked that they weren't too large, was the perfect bite size.
BBQ: Original Angus Toro Beef, Shoyu Angus Toro Beef, Beef Brisket, Pork Belly, Pork Sausage, Black Pepper Black Meat (chicken thigh), Spicy Squid, Zucchini, Mushroom, Fresh Corn
Not gonna lie, I didn't remember which Beef was which as I was eating it because I'm bad at identifying some of them. However, everything was good. Some of the cuts weren't seasoned/marinated, but it felt intentional so that you can dip them into whichever of the 3 sauces available at the table you prefered. The meat even without the the sauces were really good though.
For grilling order, I'd suggest starting off with the fattier meats to help oil up the grill.
Dessert: Really wanted to give the pudding a try but unfortunately they didn't have it for the day. Ended up getting vanilla ice cream and was suprised they gave us 3 generous scoops. Usually most establishments just do 1 scoop unless asked otherwise. We shared it between the two of us and it really hit the spot as a meal ender.
Overall, I would recommend giving this place a try. The service itself definitely will have us coming back. There was a moment when my boyfriend was peeking around to see if we were the only ones in the establishment and I guess the staff thought we needed service and literally appeared in front of us 10 seconds later. It wasn't our server so we felt bad if we made it seem like he wasn't attending to us when it was just my boyfriend being weird...
Something I will mention is that it was hard for us to initially tell if they were open. It was the grand opening but there was no sign (unless we missed it) and it wasn't as packed as I was expecting it to be, probably need to get the word around and maybe it just being the weekday didn't help. The open sign might have been on from the looks of it when we got inside but it didn't seem like it from the outside. Don't know if there's a tint on their window or something causing this. Left door I believe was locked and my boyfriend said if it wasn't for me trying the right door anyways, he would have just assumed it was also locked. However, I feel like a couple of other places also keep one door locked (not sure why but eh). The windows on the door doesn't really let you see inside too well either so it was hard to tell if the lights inside were on.
Not a big deal for future visits but since this place was just newly opened, customers might think they haven't had their official...

I just left Cowboy Cowboy Japanese Barbecue and let me tell you⌠I am full beyond capacity, happy beyond words, and completely in awe of the entire experience. From the moment my girlfriend and I sat down, everything felt seamless, warm, and inviting. The staff was attentive but never overbearingâthey seemed to have that sixth sense of knowing when to check in and when to let us just enjoy the flow of the meal.
Now for the food. Where do I even begin? Every single dish that hit the table was a moment. I ordered (deep breath because this list is long and glorious): the New York Strip, garlic beef bites, sushi, edamame, grilled calamari, fried rice, gyozas, mushrooms, pineapples, and washed it all down with a refreshingly perfect lemonade. (Donât judge meâI am eight months pregnant and baby and I came READY to eat!)
⨠The New York Strip was tender, juicy, and melted in my mouthâperfectly seasoned and grilled to absolute perfection. ⨠Garlic beef bitesâletâs just say if I could bottle that flavor and keep it in my pantry, I would. Rich, savory, buttery garlic that coats every bite with a little burst of heaven. ⨠Sushi was so fresh it practically dissolved on my tongue. ⨠Edamame was bright, lightly salted, and the ideal balance to the richness of the meats. ⨠Grilled calamari was smoky, tender (not rubbery at all), with just the right char that made each bite addicting. ⨠Fried rice? Comfort in a bowl. Perfectly fluffy grains with little golden bits of flavor throughoutâjust the kind of thing you want to scoop up endlessly. ⨠Gyozas were crisp on the outside and bursting with savory filling inside. I couldâve eaten a dozen (and honestly considered it). ⨠Mushrooms came sizzling and earthy, adding depth to everything else on the grill. ⨠Pineapples grilled to caramelized perfectionâsweet, tangy, smoky, and the most unexpected star of the lineup. ⨠And that lemonade? Fresh, tangy, ice-cold, and somehow the best reset button between bites.
By the end, I couldnât move but in the best possible way. Every dish had a personality of its own and together they made this meal unforgettable. The portions were generous, the flavors explosive, and the atmosphere lively but cozy enough to just sit back and soak it all in.
I walked in excited, and I walked out absolutely certain that Cowboy Cowboy has earned a permanent spot on my âmust-return, must-bring-people-here, must-crave-this-againâ list. Lunch with my girlfriend turned into a full-blown feast and one of the best dining experiences Iâve had in a long time.
Hands down, without hesitationâ100/100. If you havenât been, GO. If youâve been, go again. And if youâre pregnant and eating for two like me⌠prepare to leave in the happiest kind...
Read moreCowboy Japanese BBQ & Sushi, a Japanese all-you-can-eat grill restaurant, delivers a dining experience that goes beyond the expected. Itâs elevated, interactive, and genuinely impressive from start to finish.
Right off the bat, the Wagyu is the reason you come here. Every cut was premium quality â rich, tender, and full of flavor. Grilling it right at your table adds a personal, hands-on touch that makes each bite feel earned. Itâs not just a meal, itâs a moment.
One smart move? Add a light drizzle of the sweet soy sauce directly to the raw meats before they hit the grill. That simple step infuses the beef with a savory, umami-forward flavor that bursts once the heat caramelizes the edges. Itâs a game-changer, especially for cuts like the Wagyu boneless short rib and Wagyu flat iron, both of which were melt-in-your-mouth perfection without the chewiness of extra fat. Clean, lean, flavorful â exactly how I like it.
The salmon sashimi was another standout. Generous in portion, buttery in texture, and beautifully fresh. Iâve had sashimi at much higher price points that didnât come close to this.
The Tokyo Iced Tea was incredibly refreshing, smooth, and a perfect contrast to the richness of the grilled meats. One of the best Iâve had in a long time.
Service was also a highlight. Our waitress, Victoria, was phenomenal. Friendly, fast, and attentive, she even jumped in to help us with the grill when we needed it. Her energy made the whole experience feel even more welcoming and fun.
That said, there are two small things that could take this place from excellent to world-class: ⢠Utensils: For guests who may not be comfortable cutting meat with large kitchen scissors (like me), forks and knives should absolutely be available on request. Itâs a small thing that makes a big difference in comfort and flow. ⢠Drinkware: At this price point, plastic Pepsi cups feel out of place. Upgrading to glass would elevate the entire aesthetic and better match the premium experience being offered.
Final Thoughts Despite those minor details, this place is a gem. The quality of the food, the friendly and helpful service, and the fun, interactive atmosphere make Cowboy Something an easy recommendation. Whether itâs date night or a night out with friends, Iâll definitely be back.
Quick Tips: Come hungry. Add the sweet soy. Ask for Victoria. Bring your appetite and...
