
Personally I do not enjoy leaving anything less than 4-5 stars for businesses that I review. I am a firm believer in "If you can't say something nice, then say nothing at all" however, since that is not the purpose of this process of “reviewing” places in order to give advice to potential customers, and perhaps some to the operator/owner(s), I will do my best to say both the positive and the negative (in my humble opinion) about this experience. We gathered here as a “Family Event” for my Grandson's 7th Birthday (it was evening). The noise level was unforgettable, at best. The conversations were limited due to the fact that you literally had to "Shout" whatever you wanted to say to each other. I do not know if it was our chosen location in the Restaurant/Gaming Room, or if it was or is that way throughout the facility. I am told that “that’s just the way it is at D & B’s”. The service from the bar - was no service. The wait (in line) at the bar was exceptionally long and the drinks were sub-par at best. We did not go there expecting a night club, we went there expecting the children to have a great time (which by the way THEY DID) and also so the Adults could relax and catch up on things. No one at the table is a hard-core alcoholic, but we all wanted to have a cocktail while waiting on the food (exceptionally long waiting period for that as well) and that was a poor experience. The waiter/waitress was non-existent at best and the food choices were essentially “anything that could be battered and deep fried, then served cold". I stop short of saying "gag" (my apologies on this). I will say this again, the Kids LOVED the entire experience. I know (now) that this is not the ideal venue for “quiet family time”, rather it is something to do with a group of kids and a couple of adult chaperones (for safety). Read moreThe games were fun and even with it being full my friend and I didn't have to wait long for games. The bad part was that the service we had was bad but not her fault. As a server myself I notice that she had way to many tables in her section. We waited for 10 minutes just to get our drinks by one waiter who was not ours and then we had to wait another 10 minutes for our actual waiter. What's even more sad was that there were people who came in right after us who waited even longer than we did. The waiter was nice and got our food right. The food was also good. If it wasn't for the wait time I would give them 5 stars.
Here we go again. So I gave this place another try and it was a fail. For the 2nd set of games we didn't receive any of our tickets/points. I have an entire video of my little cousin hitting the 500 tickets jackpot on the wheel. It said we also won 2k tickets. I just wanted a simple explanation of why we didn't receive any of our points and how can we track our points on our end. The manager tried to give me an explanation after I had to "dumb down" my question for him. He was no help at all. I didn't get his name but he knows who he is. I had to tell him about 3 times I don't need the explanation anymore I just want to use the points I did have to get my little cousins their toys and leave. I mean a good 90% if the items can be found at 5 below and Amazon. My little cousins had a great time and that's all that really mattered. He only wanted to speak up when I said "well at best I'll just dispute the charge". But honestly, I don't blame him. Whoever trained him was clearly a horrible trainer and thus the cycle continues. Together, Megan and Carlos make an outstanding team, and their dedication to providing exceptional service truly sets Dave and Buster's apart.
