The worst experience Iāve ever had, and the last time I will ever shop KS. Iāve been a customer for YEARS, and never had issues until today. I made a purchase on 10/28 and upon checking out made sure to ask if the item could be returned if it didnāt work out. The earrings I purchased were too heavy on my ears so I returned them today. The store was packed and only one person was checking out. The person in front of me had several items so it took quite some time for her to check out. I was next in line and you could clearly see that I was next in line because no one was in front of me. A woman came out of nowhere and stood next to the woman checking out (could see that I was in line, and the man she was with even told her I was next to which she responded ātheyāll help me next, Iām actually buying somethingā. The employee checking out allowed her to check out next instead of politely saying that I was next. I continued to wait, and after a while another employee saw me waiting and asked if I was still waiting to be helped, I said yes. She called for another associate to come check out at the register who took her time and asked the employee who was checking out the person in front of me if she was almost done so she didnāt have to help. The employee said yes and so I continued to wait for the same employee who allowed someone to go in front of me. Fast forward to my turn, I am attempting to return an item with tags, receipt, box, etc. she proceeds to tell me it is even exchange or store credit only even though I paid cash and had my receipt. I told her I made sure to ask when purchasing and the associate who checked me out assured me it could be returned for refund if it didnāt work out. I then ask to speak to a manager to which she responds she is the manager. WOW!!!! So a manager allowed another customer to cut in front of someone, was not keeping eyes on the floor (she shouldāve been the one to call for someone else to help with checking out as there was a long line BEHIND ME!, but she didnāt, and in addition to thatā even though someone else did her job and flagged another associate to go to the register to help me, she gave the employee the ok to not check me out because āshe was almost finishedā. Multiple times I have been they have told me without going to check that they are out of a piece of jewelry I am inquiring about. They act like they canāt do an in store order or request a piece to be shipped from a different location when in fact they can. The rice village store offers these services to customers and I donāt understand why the Baybrook location is so unhelpful when it comes to answering customer requests. The store only has two registers and if itās a weekend good luck because the place is packed. They need to have extra associates on staff ready to check people out on an iPad like other stores do. Or maybe idk just an out of the box idea get more registers!!! I was just there today and we asked a staff member about a pair of earrings we had found and if they had any more. The associate told us that we had the last pair in hand as they were a return. As I am walking around I see a pair in plain sight ON DISPLAY and the associate goes oh those arenāt the ones you have in your hand. I walked up to them and in fact they were the EXACT SAME PAIR. Same color, style, and size. The staff needs a ton of work and I am about to place a call with headquarters because I am such a fan of their jewelry but the Baybrook location staff has major problems with customer service.
