I will not be returning to this location, I received the worst service that I’ve ever experience in my life! I love Denny’s I was really craving pancakes and we would’ve just gotten them to-go but my bf and I decided to dine in since it wasn’t busy, HUGE MISTAKE! We walk in, no one greets us, NBD, we walk to the register where the waitress is usually suppose to seat us, tell us her name, present us with menus and utensils and take our drink order. None of that happened, she told us to seat ourselves and another waiter would come give us our menus. At this point I’m still not complaining even though all of the booths were half cleaned. We finally settled on a booth that we only had to wipe down one side of the seat and then we waited about 5 minutes for a guy, who seemed to be extremely disinterested in his job, to bring us menus. The disinterested waiter took our orders for coffee and said another waiter would bring our utensils. He returned promptly with cold coffee, and we THOUGHT he took our orders as he had out a pad, asked our egg preferences and took our menus after apologizing for being sick. We sat at the booth for about 10-15 minutes before the original waiter came to our table to inform us that the previous waiter had in fact NOT put in or even taken down our orders and she presented us with menus so we could reorder. At this point I’m pretty disgusted with the service because I was lied to but gave the waiter the benefit of the doubt because he was ill and I figured he must’ve went home. We waited for our food for about 30 or more minutes with not a single person to come check on us or update us on our orders. Around the 10 minute mark, the mysterious sick waiter returned and didn’t so much as apologize for not putting in our orders, he didn’t even look our way once, just proceeded to wait on two other people and pretended to bus tables. We finally got our food with the exception of my long anticipated pancakes which they said would be 5 more minutes before they would come out. The food was delicious and I eventually got my pancakes 20 minutes later after asking for them again and I had already finished the majority of my food. We reported our dissatisfaction to the manager who offered us a merely 20% coupon to use on our meal and informed us that he needed to implement more discipline on his employees. He didn’t have to give us anything off of our meal, I would’ve preferred for the meal to be free after all of the issues we had but I appreciated his concern and the food was good so I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 and a promise to never return to...
Read moreI am not sure what winds blew the Manager Luis here. But I am glad that they did. When he's here he's flexible yet quit firm and alert. An excellent Captain and his staff reflects this. I met him first some years ago. Perhaps three, maybe four?
But he does not lead from the back. His command style is similar to my own. He's at the front. He's already turned around to grab the next order. Do not try to get one over on Manager Luis. Respect him and he will respect you. Show him your heart. Listen carefully to him if he is telling you to do so.
I come to this Denny's for a reason. And Luis is easily in the top three of the reasons I come here. Perhaps one? Who can say? I will say this. He's not the best manager at a Denny's, he's one of the best men I know. I value his counsel greatly, he's only treated me fairly. I have absolutely zero complaints about his leadership style. Frankly, I hope Denny's understands what they have in him. I know all too well that excellent employees are not always compensated fairly.
Well, I'm sure he'll be ok. He must have his reasons for being here. Now my food is growing cold, I am far too verbose. Bien provecho!

Read moreBeen here several times but can honestly say this was the very last time I will eat there. HORRIBLE food and service! My wife and I stood at the front for 5 minutes without anyone coming to seat us (and literally only 3 guests around 8am). I finally had to walk around to find someone and the 2 ladies I assume that were waitstaff were just talking to each other and I had to interrupt them. No apologies from either of them. The girl said we can sit anywhere so we picked a booth that was clear. We sat only to find it very dirty with a piece of chewed gum on the corner. All she says is “is that gum?” She then starts to rudely lean across the table and clear it off and also wipe the table. Again, no apologies. We order (chicken fried steak and a double cheeseburger). I’m not a picket eater at all (by no means). And yes I know it’s not a jitter place so I don’t expect much. But I cope barely eat a quarter of the burger. Obviously frozen which I expect but it was so old and tasted like how I imagine an old cow would taste. The seasoned fries were amazing though. My wife also finished maybe half her meal as her food was also bad. The waitress comes by and doesn’t ask about anything (never stopped by once after serving our food to check on anything).
