Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Houston

It's rare that a place I eat at makes it to a 5 star rating but let me tell you why they earned it.

For one the location, all be it a small one the use of space is great and the decor, all be it covered in kids drawings, really takes you to a nice southern bbq place.

Secondly, the price. For what you get on their plates vs the cost is pretty amazing for bbq. Normally you would go to a large bbq place and pay close to 50 bucks for 2 people, here we got away with 35 bucks and cute cups to take home.

Thirdly the food. Great food, you can really tell they put a lot of effort into their food, and it shows.

Forthly the cleanliness of the location inside and out was top notched!

Alfredo is one of the nicest managers of any restaurant in the area. Every time I show up they make me feel like familia. Food is good but the people that work here are even better. Great job. UPDATE: The service, especially if you go through the drive-through, is horrible. The last potato I got was chocolate brown, and the chopped beef was dried out. They will now keep you waiting in the drive-through with no cars ahead of you for more than 7 minutes twice in a row on my last two visits. It is ridiculous. The "new" manager, when I voiced my issues, blew me off stating that everyone before her gave me too much chopped beef with my baked potato. That they aren't supposed to fill the cup of chopped beef to the rim? Goodbye, Dickeys BBQ. I'm done with the new ownership...
