Eats Mesquite Grill — Restaurant in Houston

I do apologize this review was meant for the following Eats Mesquite Grill at 418 N Sam Houston Pkwy E Houston, TX 77060 I do not know if they are owned by the same people but the one at SAM Houston is terrible service...

Worst customer service. Used to be a reliable customer and ordered from them regularly until recently. They have been going downhill. We work down the street not even five minutes away the past few orders have been getting to us later and later. (By late we mean longer than an hour) This last order we called in at 11:56 to place the order. Then we called again at 12:56 to follow up because the order still had not arrived. At 1:22 we called and told them to forget the order because it was taking too long and that this was the second time in a row that this had happened. When the order arrived we had advised the driver what had happened and that the order had been canceled. He called and confirmed and then turned to us and stated I am the manage " Don't ever order from us again” I was shocked and could not believe what he said we replied back to him you do not have to worry we will not be ordering from them again...I do not understand as a manager how you would say that to a customer. Especially a customer that would order from you regularly...If I could give them no stars I would so I will have to just settle with one. I am...

My coworkers and I occasionally order breakfast tacos in the morning from Eats Mesquite Grill. You can either choose the regular breakfast taco (plain flour tortilla, eggs, potato, and cheese) for $1.55 or pay a bit more for a taco with ham, bacon or sausage for $1.79 each. Add some picante sauce to each taco and you're set for the rest of the morning.

Service: We usually consolidate all our selections and place 10-15 separate orders for the same delivery trip. The organization and speed of delivery is quite impressive considering the amount of orders placed. Every order is separately bagged so no items are mixed up. Also, separate ticket/transactions can be made (Credit/debit cards accepted!), unlike most places that only accepts one credit card for the entire order.

Food: Aside from the breakfast tacos, the steak & chicken fajitas are perfectly seasoned and pair nicely with refried beans and Mexican rice.

My coworker and I always meet up here for lunch. The food is always good and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, we will not be returning because of what we witnessed yesterday. I didn't catch his name but the guy working in the dining room who was taking trays and plates ruined our experience. We finished a great meal and were leaving when we watched him pick out ketchup packets from people plates and put them back in the box for other customers to use. He even took one out of ketchup on a plate and wiped it off, then does d it in the box. What is the point of all the masks, distancing tables, hand sanitizer, limiting occupancy, routine cleaning, etc if you are going to do this. I understand a business trying to save money where they can, but when you put the health of your customers at risk it is not okay. We will be finding a new place to eat lunch from now on. ...
