Read moreI take pizza very seriously. And I have to say with all seriousness, this is the best pizza in the Houston Heights area. Perhaps some of the best in the entire city. We tried 3 different ones (Pepperoni, the Griz, and the Riz) and enjoyed all of them. They are all the same size and come in 4 slices per box so it's perfect to have a couple for lunch then a couple for dinner. Sharing? Not so much. For me, the pepperoni was the star of the show since it had a hint of spice. It was amazing and felt like a fresh take on an old classic. The Griz had kind of a BBQ-Hawaiian hybrid vibe and I'd probably recommend it for more adventurous pizza eaters. The Riz was probably the "healthiest" option, and it's always nice to have a veggie-only option at any pizzeria. Overall, it was pretty good. The Margarita is the one I'd like to try on our next trip. My only recommendation is that it would be nice to have a Caesar or other salad option to go with the pizzas. Currently, there isn't one. Another strong recommendation is to save room for dessert! We had the brownie, the Frankenstein cheesecake, and the tres leches Oreo cake. All were phenomenal. Overall, the experience was fantastic. One thing I should also mention is that the dining room is a bit small. So I wouldn't come with a large group on a busy night, but would opt for a weekday during the day or early on a weekend. But it was a really fantastic tasting experience that I can't recommend...
Read moreWe saw Gold Tooth Tony’s on YouTube when Chris Shepherd did a review, and it looked amazing, so we were excited to try it. We ordered online for delivery on a Saturday night, but about 30 minutes later got a text saying it was ready for pickup instead. We live just 8 minutes away, so as we were heading out, we decided to call and double-check that it was actually ready and not still being delivered. The guy who answered seemed completely out of it—put me on hold a couple of times, asked for my name several times, then asked me to spell it. When we got there, he said there was nothing under our name. We assumed we’d made a mistake and ordered from the wrong location. Once we got home, we checked and realized we had definitely ordered from that location. We called back, and the same guy now said the food was there waiting. So we drove back up there again, only to be told part of our order wasn’t included because, according to him, “that’s all you ordered.” We got to the car, checked the attached receipt, and saw we were in fact missing the cake we paid for. We went back in, and he casually said we had to get it out of the fridge ourselves. When we finally got home, the food was cold—one pizza barely had any cheese, the other was all sauce with hardly any toppings, and the wings were soggy. After all that, we paid almost $80 for a cold, disappointing meal and spent our entire night driving back and forth. Total...
