Here’s some insight about this place. Good food. The worst service.
Hostess was practically hiding at her station with her head looking down when we arrived. Another worker had to point us in her direction because we didn’t see her. When she finally did acknowledge us, she spoke very quietly and quickly. Extremely rude. She knowingly sat us at a wobbly table- we were a party of two. We waited 10-15 mins to be asked what drinks we wanted. When our waitress brought our drinks, the table wobbled and the drinks sloshed over, spilling hot coffee and orange juice onto the table. She didn’t even notice because she was already rushing away. I thought the wobbling might not be too bad, so I leaned slightly on the table and the drinks sloshed everywhere again- spilling more on the table and leaking onto the floor. They only give 1 napkin per person which is wrapped around the utensils, so we just sat awkwardly with a mess of drinks. After 10 or more mins, the server showed up to the table and asked “are you guys ready to order?” In a very impatient tone. I was honestly shocked she didn’t notice all the drinks spilled. I asked politely if we could be moved to another table due to the table wobbling. Her response “let me go get the hostess. We’re pretty slow right now so we can move you pretty much anywhere you like.” It was Thursday between 11am-1pm (2 hr total time for a small meal between two people). A male worker came and dropped a stack of napkins on the table for us to clean up the mess. I did not touch it. Eventually (maybe 10 mins) the hostess came and says “oh you need to be moved? Is it because the table is wobbly?” She clearly knew this fact, as she didn’t need to ask why we requested being moved. She was also the one who set up the table prior to seating us. She didn’t let me respond. Instead she says “I can just bring a wobble wedge.” To which I reply “whatever you feel is necessary.” After the wedge is placed to stabilize the table, we wait another 15 mins for the server to return to take our order. Food was pretty good, but service was an atrocity. I don’t often leave reviews, but I felt the service was the worst I’ve ever seen. Food was plopped on our table (still slightly unstable) without a word. Coffee and orange juice ran out long before our meal was finished with no offer for refill. The check was plopped on the table without a word before the meal was done. I had to send my date out for my bottled water in the vehicle just to try to finish the pancake I ordered. This was honestly the worst experience I had. I’d recommend trying a different location. I had tried Snooze one other time at a different location and I don’t recall service being this rude. Considering that the server herself said they were “slow,” which was evident with only 4 other tables containing patrons, it’s evident that the wait we experienced was due to us having “inconvenienced the staff” with having spilled our drinks on the wobbly table. Very petty and rude before and after the incident with no apologies. I didn’t yell or insult any staff to be treated this way. I just asked if we could be seated at a different table. The food was good,...
Read moreI have only been here twice because my first experience wasn't that great. I wanted to try it a second time before making an entire judgment on my first experience.
In my first experience my food came out cold and when I had ordered it I asked if I could substitute a meat item with a non-meat item and the server gave me a couple options for substitution (such as hashbrown, pancake, or fruit). So I ordered the pancake because that was one of the options the server gave me for substitution. Well when we got the food it was cold and when the receipt came I was charged 4 extra dollars for what was supposed to be a substitution. I was not informed that it would be an extra charge, I would have been fine with the charge If I was told about it but I wasn't and I found out when I got the receipt. Well anyway, before we even got the receipt, we had to wait a while after we were done eating because our server just disappeared and never checked up on us, until we hunted him down to get the receipt. That was my first experience.
My second experience wasn't all that great either. We came today (May 14th @9:00a.m) and were immediately sat down. We got our drinks fairly quickly, and ordered quickly too, but when our food came out they were both cold. Like not even lukewarm, both dishes were cold as if they were sitting out for a while. Another server came and gave us our food and I ordered a mocha from that server because our original server never came back to check up on us. That other server asked if I was okay with whole milk or a milk alternative and I said I would like almond milk instead (because I'm lactose intolerant). Then our server came later and finally checked up on us and asked my friend if they wanted a refill on their orange juice and of course they said yes. Then when our receipt came we were charged an additional 1 dollar for almond milk (which, again, I would have been totally fine with since I can't have dairy, I also understand that it's on the menu but I wasn't looking at the menu when I had ordered my coffee since I knew what I wanted to drink) but we were also charged 4 dollars for a refill of the orange juice and not informed that a "refill" is the same price as buying another glass of orange juice. It just seems that it's a trend to not let the customers know that there would be additional charges. I don't plan on coming here anymore and would definitely not recommend...
Read moreI really like this place. Just be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes on a Saturday at noon. The food was really good. My daughter went twice in a week and had excellent service and food both times. I had a great burrito that was HUGE. Snooze Breakfast Burrito Burrito Filled with scrambled eggs, hash browns, house black beans, cheddar & jack cheese, topped with pico de gallo and choice of green chili or ranchero. I just requested no cheese, eggs or meat. The only downside is that each additional veggie you add is $.75. I added onions, mushrooms, cilantro, peppers, basil, spinach, and avocado. You see if you are a vegan and want a variety of veggies, it could easily add as much as $11 to your meal just for veggies!! Veggies: arugula, caramelized onions, basil, cilantro, jalapeño, onion, pico de gallo, poblano peppers, wild mushrooms, red pepper, roasted garlic, spinach, tomato, avocado. But if you like large portions, this place definitely delivers. The flavor was really good. I like a lot of flavor. The price was avg.( except fire the veggies). My daughter ordered Benny Goodman - Lox style salmon and cream cheese served over toasted rye and topped with poached cage free eggs, cream cheese hollandaise blended with sun dried tomato and caper relish. Her friend had Shrimp & Grits - Homestyle cheesy grits loaded with sauteed shrimp, andouille sausage, peppers and leeks, topped with an egg your style!. His was scrambled and it looked very light and fluffy. The drinks are very interesting.... coffee with alcohol, mixed drinks, etc. I had Dirty Drunken Chai Bhakti Chai, Espresso, Steamed Milk, Coffee Liqueur & Cruzan Rum with Almond milk of course. It had a bit of bitter taste that I didn't particularly enjoy. My daughter had one of the bloody Mary's and a mimosa. The Mary was yummy. It even had pickled veggies as a topper, not just celery sticks. Gazpacho Bloody “Gazpacho Style” infused 1876 Vodka & House Bloody Mix. Choice Mimosa Snooze Sparkling With Orange, Grapefruit, Apple, Lemonade, Cranberry or Pineapple Juice. This location just recently opened and at the moment parking is ample. The interior is cute, but small. There is also patio seating, but it's not covered. We highly recommend this...
