I looked up sushi spots near me and called to see if they had real crab in their rolls. The gentlemen I spoke with told me yes. Sat at the bar and asked a few questions. Didn't see the California roll on the menu so I inquired about it. Gentlemen told me how much it was and I told him I'd liked to have it. When my food was brought to me I noticed it had imitation crab because of the color. I told another gentlemen that I preferred real crab and that I wasn't too fond of imitation crab. He paused and looked disturbed. He asked if I wanted to take it togo. I said no and that I didn't want it. He asked if I was sure and I told him I was positive. He then said you are suppose to ask for it a certain way. I told him I had already called to confirm, didn't see it on the menu, and I hadn't been here before. He then again reminded me to ask for it a certain way. Then proceeded to say I will see if it can possibly be taken off. I should have left at that point. The manager had no hesitation about removing it. Got the food fast. I asked for another and it took awhile. I then got asked where have I been where I got real crab. At that point I just wanted my food. He asked if I had gotten my second roll. I told him I didn't and he asked the line. They shrugged their shoulders and I told him don't worry about it. Let me just get the check. Good service will always make you come back but in this case it was unfortunate. I will just stick with what I'm use too next time. Not...

I’ve been a fan of this sushi restaurant for years and have recommended it to many people, but our recent visit was very disappointing.

We had a reservation, but because we didn’t specify indoor or outdoor seating, we were told we’d be seated outside by default. That would’ve been fine, except it was 90 degrees, no one else was outside, and we were basically dining with a swarm of flies. I’m talking about at least 20 fat houseflies circling our table—we had to constantly swat them away while trying to eat. The restaurant did have fans to help with the heat, but nothing to deter the flies, which really ruined the experience. It’s only May—can’t imagine how bad it’ll be in the peak of summer with a third of their seating outdoors.

To their credit, the general manager was apologetic, and our server, Danny, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and professional. He was the best part of the evening.

As for the food, it was great. All the sushi rolls were delicious, the seafood tower was fresh and enjoyable, and the drinks were well-crafted. Everything came out quickly. Unfortunately, we realized after leaving that we were charged for the wagyu toast, which never arrived.

Overall, while the food and service (especially from Danny) were solid, the overall experience didn’t match the high price tag or reputation. I hope they reconsider their reservation policy and take steps to improve the outdoor...

Arrived at 3pm and there were only 2 occupied tables. Parking was ample.

The sashimi was not fresh. The Salmon sake had a slight sheen slightly on the slimy side and slices were thin and small. Tuna sashimi slices were dull in color and matte (probably refrigerated for a while/freezer burn).

Karaage was 40% chicken 60% batter. Batter was over fried. The mayonnaise sauce was light but had no flavor. The flash fried basil leaves were bland and barely crispy. The jalapeno pieces were fried to pieces causing it to lose any flavor and texture.

The Ika was slightly tough and the edges were burnt. The sauce served with it was bland.

The Hamachi Chili would have been ok if it wasn't doused in some sauce they had it drenched in.

My Japanese Highball tasted like it was 70% soda 25% ice and 5% whiskey.

Waiter seemed disinterested and in a rush to clear our table even though there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant but 2 other tables and 4 people at the bar. Saying "No Rush" putting a check on the table and retrieving menus just because we said we were ok doesn't mean anything when my drink wasn't even 50% consumed.

Sidenote, nothing on the menu is spicy or flavorful. The menu is one page front and back. Also stack some pillows to sit on because the benches are way lower than the tables.

Overall, this place is...

Had a pretty good experience overall, with some slight hiccups or heartburn along the way. I'll start off by saying their prices are very reasonable, especially for their higher end nigiri options. The service was also pretty good and food came out pretty quickly, but we did have to wait a few times for refills on water (even though we sat at the bar). For starters, the shishito peppers were good, but the sauce was a little on the sweet side. If the peppers were actually kinda spicy, then it may have balanced out better. The Bone Marrow from the Specials menu was pretty solid and very flavorful. The different nigiri options we tried were all pretty good, namely the Peppercorn Tuna and Otoro. The Wagyu nigiri was very tasty, but had a lot more wasabi in the dressing than I expected (led to a startling bite for sure). The "Lil" Catch Nigiri from the Specials menu was good, but may have had too many things going on at once with all of the different flavors and textures. After seeing countless pics and mentions of the Wagyu Slim roll, we decided to try that out. It was easily the spiciest roll I've ever had! The flavors were there, but for a few pieces, it was too much to handle.

My daughter was craving sushi so we decided to find something close to home. Went online to search and found this gem. Literally around the corner which was a major plus for us. Last minute so we didn’t have a reservation but they were able to seat the 4 of us right away. It was outside on the patio which is ok on a breezy day but it was a bit chilly and we were told there were patio heaters so we went ahead and sat outside. We had to grab our jackets from the car due to the fact that two of the heaters were not working. (We didn’t want to leave because the kids were starving and finding another place would have been a pain) But I’m glad we stayed. We came in time for their happy hour and it was a pretty decent selection of items. I’m a sashimi fan so I can’t say that this is the best place for it but the food we order did not disappoint. My favorite were the oysters. The staff was super attentive and our waitress was very helpful suggesting dishes since it was our first time here. Overall we will be back. Good food good vibes.
