Was a little curious what tales the old Darwins Pub was going to tell with this new spot that opened up a few months ago. Great first date spot. We went for Houston Restaurant Weeks for $39 each. We were able to pretty much choose anything 1 item from each course on the menu. Great idea. We chose the cast iron corn bread. Damn good. The crab dip. I could order 4 of these. Would be nice to have with small toast bites instead of chips, but that may just be me. Shrimp poppy was amazing. The bread was soft and pillowy. And for dessert, the boozy tiramisu. And when I say boozy... its BOOZY!. bourbon I think. All in all had a fantastic meal here. Service was great. Donna was very polite and new the menu well. Made recs. Met the chef owner Kyle... solid dude. Will definitely come back during the week for their HH burgers for $7! Wow! Ooooh I forgot the best part. The fries! They are fried in beef tallow. And they...

If you are looking for fresh organic and a great mix of flavors , Good god Nadine’s is the place to go. They make their food from the products of their own farm and the chef is sooo creative. I love their baked goat cheese with the great taste of grilled grapes and pecans. Their salads are made with fresh veggies of their farm served with a delicious dressing. Also their roast beef sandwich tastes like home cooked perfect sandwiches you can find. And you don’t want to miss their special guacamole, it is so delicious and new, never had a guacamole like that. Their cocktails are great and designed for all different tastes. Chef Kyle is an amazing chef and you can see everything he makes comes from his heart and experience. The staff are very nice and serve the food and cocktails without make you wait. I highly recommend Good god Nadine’s , definitely one of Houston’s top...

“GGN” is a great find! A limited menu, but everything we had was DELICIOUS! We started with Oysters on the half shell, which were served nice and cold with two topping sauces and some really good crackers (not just ordinary saltines). Next, we had the Baked Dapper Goat Dairy Goat Cheese, which was FANTASTIC. It was sweet, creamy, with roasted grapes, and served with delicious sliced bread. Next, my husband and I split a Debris Po-boy, and it should win an award for great taste! We are going back later this week, with plans to indulge in the HOT CRAB DIP, THE SESAME GUACAMOLE, and the BLACKENED REDFISH PO-BOY. Oh - - - and the cocktails were also terrific! All of that glorious food, and 2 cocktails for around $70! It was nice to have a great meal in comfortable surroundings and not feel violated when presented...

Great new spot in the neighborhood! We stopped by for the $7 happy hour burgers and they were delicious! The fries are a very worthy $3 add-on. Make sure to get the aïoli as well. not drinking right now, so wasn’t able to try the cocktails, but they looked very good and the happy hour $7 offerings Seemed great as well. Inside is very nice, good atmosphere. Outside they have a covered semi enclosed patio as well as an open air section of the patio. Would be great if they were able to get some extra fans out there for the summer to increase airflow. We were informed by our server that they are still in their soft open right now, so that is likely why the service was maybe a bit spotty or slow, no fault in their own. All in all, happy hour burger is very worth it in my opinion. Can’t wait to check it out again!

Soft opening night from the Verdegreens team! Excellent experience! Atmosphere, service, food top notch. Few vegan options, just the crisp, tasty house salad, freshly made guac & chips, & deliciously spiced cashews. Unfortunately the fresh cut potatoes are fried in beef tallow, & cornbread has butter, so not vegan & not reviewed by me. My dinner companions enjoyed those & absolutely everything else. My Strawberry daiquiri really hit the mark; freshly scratch made, no syrupy or powdered mix. Chic, comfortable environment, indoor booths, tables, bar stools. Large front patio/porch for outdoor seating. Tree lined street, helps with outdoor shade. Ample free parking lots. Attentive table service. Smooth music, good vibes. Farm to table companion restaurant Farmstand, on adjacent property will be opening soon.
