This location needs to be shut down for discrimination. I was there with my girlfriend and it was her first time there. I told her how awesome the place is and the food. It’s my first time coming to this location so we tried something different. We expressed to our waiter Jacob I was feeling well to the point I was about to pass out (we sat outside). He said he understood and was getting us boxes and the BILL so we could leave so I could go home. It felt like I was going to throw up so my car was closer and plus I didn’t want to throw up outside the restaurant and I wasn’t going to make it to the bathroom in time. So my car was right there and my girlfriend was helping me there so I can get cold air and just chill while she boxes our food and PAYS for the food. We were chased down, pictures taken, yelled at and treated so poorly after we explained we weren’t going anywhere and that the car was closer to me for air and in case I did need to throw up it wouldn’t be right on their outside patio or insole the restaurant. We were the only people of color at the restaurant and they made such a huge deal it made both of us very concerned and uncomfortable. We were told everything would be deleted after we paid, but the host who wouldn’t give us her name refused to do so and continued to be rude and disrespectful towards my girlfriend while she was inside paying. My girlfriend asked for a remake at least on the food and the host said they wouldn’t do that because of what happened even though we paid for the food and still left a tip for our server. We spent $60 for food we couldn’t even take home or get remade because the host felt “like we were stealing” after we explained way prior to the situation I needed air and wasn’t feeling good. I’ve never felt so disgusted in my life to the point where I would sue this company. We are both servers ourselves so we understand policy, but once again we expressed several times yet was still disrespected, couldn’t get our food remade because it had flies and everything on it and was told well that’s our job but the host was rude and very discriminatory towards us especially my girlfriend. Do not eat here at this location let alone any of them. I loved them company actually, but after realizing that they don’t have human decency and wanted to make a scene it showed volumes on their character. It would’ve been easier if we had to call an ambulance because I was 10 seconds away from passing out entirely. Money was wasted and our character was slandered all because of our...
Read moreI went there Wednesday November 23rd, thanksgiving eve, for a quick dinner by myself. It was 6:30pm: I walked in greeted the hostess and told her it was just me for dinner. She didn’t greet me back ( first red flag) but instead she told me that they are closing at 7pm so I wouldn’t have enough time to dine in. I told her it was just 6:30pm as I was surprised to why they were closing that early, I assume because of thanksgiving the next day. She insisted that they were closing early but I told her that I still want to dine in and told her that I know what I’m getting anyway. She said ok but that I’ll need to hurry and order. I told her no problem as long as my server comes fast I will order right away.
So my server came and the same, she told me the same thing about the hours and that they were about to close so I should place my order quickly. I then placed my order. As I was waiting for my food, I was chocked to see that the doors were still open and groups of people kept on walking in and being seated. So obviously I felt like I’m the one that wasn’t supposed to be let in. I was boiling inside and felt unwelcome. I had to rush to order and eat my food thinking that the restaurant was soon closing. My server never came to check on me or anything. I called her and asked for my bill. I paid and left. This was my worst experience at a restaurant ever. I really felt discriminated for the first time. I left at 7:20 and people were still coming in. As I was leaving I questioned the hostess about it and she told me that they had just changed the hours that’s why people are come in. I was even more surprised. So just like that, you are back to regular business hours. WOW. It was then clear that I was definitely the problem.
If you are a black person just know that this may happen to you. I wish I could give them zero star for the service...
Read moreAfter a truly disappointing experience at another local restaurant, we were fortunate to find ourselves at Hungry’s, where the difference in customer service was night and day. We had just left a place where we were made to feel like a burden for asking to sit outside. The server at the other restaurant was visibly irritated and unprofessional, even groaning about having to seat us on the patio. It left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. But thankfully, Hungry’s reminded us that there are still places where customers are treated with respect.
When we walked into Hungry’s, we were greeted warmly by the staff and immediately asked if we’d like to sit outside. Given our earlier experience, we were a little hesitant, but the server was genuinely delighted to accommodate us. It was clear from the moment we arrived that they truly value their customers, and they made us feel welcome from start to finish. I didn't get our server name but he was a young gentleman with long hair, and was kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without rushing us. He even checked in on us at just the right times, making the entire experience so much more pleasant and enjoyable. The food was fantastic, but the customer service is what really made the difference. After such a frustrating experience at the previous restaurant, we’re incredibly grateful for the positive, thoughtful service we received at Hungry’s. It’s places like this that will keep us coming back. Thank you to the wonderful team at Hungry’s for turning our night around and reminding us what great...
