I got the Jalapeno Bacon Kicker Burger. The burger was REALLY GOOD. However, the dining experience was THE WORST I have EVER experienced due to the fact that they were severely understaffed with a total of just THREE people. One Waitress, one Cook and one Manager. Our poor Waitress was having to do EVERYTHING! Therefore she couldn't attend to us properly. We were being offered things from the table beside us!! When we received our food, 45 minutes after arriving, we had no silverware to eat it with. The food came out cold and grew colder while waiting for the silverware. My niece finally got up and asked the Manager (who was overwhelmed, also waiting tables) for the silverware. She bought us plastic wear (which is fine) because there wasn't any clean silverware. I have a hard time swallowing without a beverage. My soda was in a small glass, there was no water, and the chances of receiving water or a refill were very slim. So, I was taking small sips to make my beverage last, but it wasn't pushing my food down. My niece finally had to go ask the Manager for a drink. I say Manager, because our waitress was no where to be found, apparently having to work in the kitchen after bussing the tables. In the end, we were overcharged somehow. 50 dollars for three basic meals and three drinks. Nothing extra, shouldn't have been that much but after an hour and a half we were just ready to pay it and go! I understand in these days of the pandemic many employees are not showing up for work. Either due to sickness, or just overworked, underappreciated and underpaid. I understand that extra patience is due at this time. But when a restaurant is so understaffed and overwhelmed that the customer can not receive a DECENT dining experience, it NEEDS to temporarily CLOSE IT'S DOORS! It is TOTALLY UNFAIR to the patrons who are spending their hard earned money in their establishment. I SURE HOPE there is NOT a covid spread going on in that restaurant!! Why is there no staff? The Manager that WAS there was having to fill in for the Manager that didn't come in. Are the owners so GREEDY that they put their pocketbooks before the welfare of their OWN STAFF and PATRONS??? SHAME ON THEM!!! The Waitress and Manager were sweet ladies. The food was good, but cold. But with NO STAFF the doors should be locked until the issue is resolved. There's SOMETHING WRONG at THIS location!! And you'd better know, we will NEVER GO BACK!!

The Katy Freeway IHOP lured us in with promises of a sunrise feast, and boy did it deliver! We dove headfirst into the 55+ Rise and Shine Breakfast, senior portions proving perfectly sized for our hearty appetites. Imagine hash browns, crisp bacon sizzling with promise, and eggs cooked just the way you like them. Each bite was a celebration of breakfast classics, seasoned with a sprinkle of nostalgia. But the meal wasn't just about the food, it was about the service. Our server was a ray of sunshine, attentive without hovering, and always ready to refill our coffee with a smile. They navigated dietary quirks and requests with ease, ensuring everyone felt welcome and well-cared for. Leaving IHOP, we felt the warmth of a good meal and good company linger. It was more than just breakfast, it was a little slice of morning magic right there on the Katy Freeway. A reminder that sometimes, the simplest things, done right, can be the most satisfying.

When me and boyfriend decided to meet here for brunch it was a 20-minute wait that turned into 30ish. Then, there was a wait to order our food. It seemed like they were short staffed. The food took forever to arrive, thank goodness it was the correct order. The waitress brought coffee without creamer...like even if a patron doesn't request creamer..it should be an automatic common courtesy to provide it. Then when it was time to pay the lady had my boyfriend's card & another guy's card (those typical black pay folders were not provided) she just carried the cards and tickets in her hands together. And turns was about to give the other guy my boyfriend's credit card and we were about to get his. And we had to make she didn't charge his card to pay for their big meal. Thankfully that didn't happen. But it's the lack of paying attention and taking care/caution when you have people's cards in your possession.

Would have been zero Stars if it wasn't for the manager. we came in around 10:00 p.m. and there was only three tables including us. It started off we were set at a incredibly sticky and dirty table had not been wiped off from previous use. The server we had was either stoned or exhausted cuz we know he ain't new. I originally was worried when the table to the side of us had their order completely wrong. When or waiter first came to our table he asked us what we wanted to drink and we asked for a menu at that point in time he told us menus are limited and he could not give us one. The other customers sitting at the table across from us handed us their menu. Our waiter was unable to answer simple questions about items on the menu and seem to have a lot of trouble taking our drink order. He kept standing there like he was lost in space staring off into nothing while taking the order. My son had to ask for a refill on his drink and then our waiter brought him a Sierra mist when my son clearly said Pepsi. When the food was brought out it was completely wrong and cold. At this point in time we ask for the manager. The manager herself is very apologetic and lovely she remade all the food nice and hot and correct. while the manager was in the back taking care of the food we tried over and over again to get his attention for coffee refills which we had been trying to do for quite some time. at one point in time my husband raised his voice and clearly said can I please have more coffee the waiter ignored us and kept wondering back and forth across the restaurant. at this point in time I got up myself walked into the kitchen grab the pot of coffee took it to our table and poured us more coffee. I then walked into the kitchen again with the coffee pot where he was standing right next to the coffee maker and put it down he did not even realize I was there. when the manager did bring out our hot correct food I then informed her about the coffee situation she immediately went to have a talk with our waiter and then she proceeded to wait on us for the rest of our time there making sure we had hot coffee and that everything was right. At the end of our experience she brought us to go coffees and gave us a small discount...

Ok this is saying about a visit I did 2 months ago which I do not remember so I will tell you about the service I had about 12:25 am. I drove in the parking lot it was empty except for the employees as we found out as we got inside. By the way one of the wait staff seen my daughter & I pull in and park, I had to go and hunt someone down that would not come out of the back until I went and asked them was they opened even though everyone knows IHOP is opened 24 hours, but after it takes me walking to the back and speaking to someone about what was going on we ordered and now to the food the sausage links was just warm and burnt in spots and tasted like it, my daughter was suppose to get 2 eggs it looked like she got one and the pancakes which was usually the best thing from IHOP was even gross. I should have just told them I was not paying for it cause we didn't even eat it all more like a taste of this and a taste of that, I didn't even finish my dr.pepper.. IHOP let me tell you, you guys have some of the worst service on 1-10 in the memorial/westchase district, and it is just getting worse, I don't know where you get your employees from but you need to fire all of them and start fresh. Also you need to not be adding burger's to your menu if you can't even get your original staple menu correct. There should have been no reason for the service or the half service that we got when there was NOONE in the place, but employees and our food should not have came out cold or just warm. Your company is already closing store's and you guys need to read this because this explains it all for you in detail. I will be doing your guys survey today that will not be good either, and the mgr. Last night should be ashamed take more pride in your job no matter what you do or quit... and IHOP get it together!!!! $25 for garbage food...
