I hope corporate is reading this. I'm willing to honestly bet this location, is not producing close to what it should be doing. You could flush out everyone working there and put your top management in, and they would have a hard time turning this store around. Operations at this location have been run so badly for so long, I honestly think it's past the point of no return. The staff is not rude at ALL, They are either simply very incompetent or they just really don't care. The salsa bar is mess, with 3 choices, when there used to be a huge selection of a variety of things, Basically if you want to become a Taco Bell, then lower you prices to Taco Bell level. The floors are sticky and dirty, the drink station area is always a mess and not stocked properly. The food is never consistently the same on how it's put together. and product quality is just one notch above Taco Bell, but I can see why customers, especially the neighbors would rather go to Taco Bell, because they do a lot better job providing consistency even though their product is a bit inferior. The neighborhood has given up on this location, go to the Whataburger that's just a 1/4 mile west and that's where all the neighborhood kids hang out every night, Teenagers have very low expectations and they would rather hang out at Whataburger every night there's definitely some issues with this location. I know I am dating myself, but I used to attend Houston Community College when it was in the school directly behind this location, and the students, myself included this was our daily hangout. You could smell the fresh made flour tortillas as soon as you opened the door. The salsa bar was awesome, the fajita meat was not Mexican restaurant standard, but it was dam good for fast food. The food tasted fresh, not drowning in liquid cheese chemical and overly salted. I try to think how this place is gone down so much over the years, and all I can think of is that, Corporate would do an annual review, see the numbers down, and say let's send the efficiency experts in to get this location back on tract. When all they had to do is come in themselves, tighten up operations, work a little harder and stick to the quality and principals that made Taco Cabana what...
Read moreFood was fine. About like every other Taco Cabana. Staff not very welcoming or friendly today at 3 pm (7-20-2015). Main dining area was clean enough but doesn't deserve praise. The restrooms were unacceptable. Gross! There should be a system in place where the restroom is cleaned and restocked 2-3x/day. Before I even pushed the door open to the ladies room, the area back there smelled dirty and sewage like. The front of the ladies room door was covered in grease spots (it was bad!). The larger stall had a huge wad of wet TP on the toilet seat. The other stall had bad language written on the plastic trash can. Every wall and every surface in there looked like it hadn't been wiped down in 8 months. If I owned this establishment, I would sanitize and clean every surface in there. At least once a day. Lastly, I seriously think the floor hadn't been mopped in weeks. It looked bad and the entire restroom smelled terrible. Your food was good and served promptly. I can only hope the kitchen isn't as nasty as the bathroom. I know I'm being harsh but fixing this problem would likely increase your business. The bathrooms are right next to the entrance and it's smelly. I had starving kids with me and I was desperate and hoped...
Read moreJust left this location that I have been going for sooo long. Back then the food offered was actually good quality and appropriately sized. I went today and got a bean burrito with no cheese and the guy at the window ends up being completely rude and didint even care to tell me the price correctly, after mumbling like a dimwit the first time I asked him to repeat it and he goes on to mumble it again. Then he proceeds to mumble something towards the end while I was leaving and determined he was mocking me. To make everything worse I’m on a strict diet where I can carefully choose what I can eat, and luckily a simple bean burrito with no cheese is within the boundaries of my diet but the BEAN burrito which I ordered had barely even a single scoop of beans... it was almost only bread with couple spots of beans.A couple beans with a tortilla did not fill me up when I desperately needed some protein. Last time coming here and hope everyone stops coming here until they change there attitude...
