J.R.'s Taqueria — Restaurant in Houston

So I was strolling along today, working and I decided to stop in at juniors Taqueria. It was OK. The food wasn’t really all of that. It was a little bland for my liking. However, the owner was very nice. The service was quick. The restaurant was clean. It’s a little small for large crowds or families. It was very cold inside.

The owner was very personable with the customers. He had a sense of humor. He was very down to earth but however, the food the potatoes to be exact were a little undercooked for me. They didn’t have any seasoning on them. The eggs either. That is why I gave them a 3.5 star rating out of five. If they’re able to make that change I believe it would make a huge difference. I didn’t like the shavings of bacon I wanted all of my bacon in whole pieces not shavings. I didn’t like that either so I took out something for that as well because I really like bacon so to have it in crumbles was not good and I’m not a fan of that idea. I was in there to see him handle a customer complaint he did make her two tacos fresh but he did not resolve her issue that she had so she was complaining about the chorizo tacos being greasy he told her that they were greasy that’s how they come and that’s how that she’ll get them if she want them so I think he could’ve done better in that area. Me and my family’s first time coming here. They have the best breakfast tacos. The tortillas are freshly handmade and the food is great and the salsa is amazing I loved it not to spicy its just right. Also the customer service is amazing the lady who took our order was very nice and since it was our first time she showed and told us everything on the menu. They do take long but that’s because everything is freshly made. And when we started to leave the owner came outside and told us thank you for coming which is super nice. I will recommend this place to everyone I know and we will be coming back. Thank you so much for the wonderful food...

Wow! That’s how I wanna start of this review because the breakfast tacos 🌮 here and just amazing 🤌🏽 I’m so glad I stopped in although parking isn’t the best I still found a spot and keep in mind this is a pretty small building but they make it work now for the tacos let’s just say “top tier” I got 2 but honestly 1 was really enough for me because these tacos are big and they have homemade corn and flour tortillas the homemade salsa was also good “the green one” and customer service was excellent.
