Where do I begin with this place?
The dining room is clean and inviting; service is excellent; and the ownership group is really nice, caring, genuine, friendly, and plain amazing.
Now to the food. In a word, almost all of it is great. Truly great. If you follow me, you know I don't give five stars to almost any establishment. Some would say that makes me a picky eater. I beg to differ.
The Karahi goat here is just delicious and very flavorful. Keema (ground beef) is a very comforting and warm dish, very tasty, as well. The chole (garbanzo beans), and lentil dishes are also very good.
The butter Naan I've had here is so gorgeous when it comes out piping hot to the table. It's almost too beautiful to eat. Almost. When you dig in, the bread is soft yet cooked to perfection. The butter glistening off the top adds the right amount of flavor to elevate the experience that much more.
The kababs on offer here are the best I have ever tried. Ever. They are so juicy, flavorful, and they just hit the spot every single time. My absolute favorite is the chapli kabab - the veritable king of kababs for me. Beyond that, the beef seekh kababs are just as good and just as juicy. You can also get the chicken seekh kabab which has its own flavor profile, just a step below the beef offerings, in my opinion. The lamb kabab is equally juicy and flavorful. I rank that last because of the taste that lamb naturally has which I tend to enjoy less than other meats.
The beverage offerings are also very diverse and refreshing.
The one thing I can't say I recommend is the kabab roll. I forgot which one we sampled but it was nowhere on par with the rest of the menu.
If you haven't been here, you're truly missing out because this place is an absolute gem. And if you're thinking about going, then you need to go....

We recently tried this Gem hidden in Hillcroft Shopping plaza!
We recently ordered the Chapli Kabab and Chicken Boneless Charsi Karahi from Kandahari Karahi N Kabab, and I cannot express how impressed I was with both the food and service!
The Chapli Kabab was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection - you could taste the authentic spices and the quality of the chicken. The portion was generous and came beautifully plated with fresh carrots that added a nice touch to the meal. It was melting in the mouth!
But the real star of the show was the Chicken Charsi Karahi! If you're craving authentic karahi chicken in Houston, Kandahari Karahi N Kabab IS THE PLACE. The flavors were spot-on traditional, with that perfect balance of spices and tender, juicy chicken that melted in your mouth. truly authentic!
What made this experience even more special were the owners themselves. They were incredibly sweet, helpful, and kind throughout our entire interaction. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in serving quality food.
Kandahari Karahi N Kabab is definitely a must-visit restaurant in Houston for anyone looking for real, authentic Pakistani cuisine. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you get.

Read moreI enjoy trying different cuisines, and I was encouraged to leave an honest review today positive or negative as it can help a business improve. I was excited to try the #7 Tandoori Chicken with garlic naan bread. I ordered for dine-in, but my order was mistakenly prepared to go. When I informed Amr, the cashier, he assured me he would let the kitchen know. I placed my order at 2:32 PM and received it at 2:55 PM. Amr had mentioned it would take about 15 minutes, so I waited patiently, understanding that restaurants can get busy. When my meal arrived, the portion size of the chicken was much smaller than expected and did not resemble the menu photo. The rice was bland, though the garlic naan bread was excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. Amr kindly asked for my honest opinion, and I shared my feedback. He offered to discount my meal by 50% and provide the naan complimentary. Unfortunately, since my order was already processed as takeout and paid for, the discount couldn’t be applied to that visit. He did note that I could receive 50% off my next meal, which was thoughtful. While Amr’s customer service was warm and professional, I was ultimately disappointed to spend $17.30 on a meal where only the naan stood out. I asked for a to go take it back with me but given this experience, I don’t...
