Walking into Kathmandu Curry & Bar, we noticed a large group of people outside & an even larger group of people inside, occupying nearly half of the entire restaurant. Looking surprised, I'm sure, one of the gentlemen from the restaurant approached me and my girlfriend and told us they were having a private event, but we were welcome to stay and showed us to a table. To me, that was a great first impression, I know a lot of restaurants that would have asked us to come back. When we sat down, I was unsure of what to order, I deferred to my girlfriend. She ordered us Pani Puri, Chow-mein &a few different flavors of momos, everything was really tasty. The Pani puri was especially fun to eat. If you aren't sure what that is its a spherical fried crisp filled with seasoned potatoes & has a whole poked in the top. You take the crisp & pour flavored water into it, to fill it, then simply pop the entire thing into your mouth for a "mouthful" (sorry had to go there) of slightly spicy, deliciousness. The chow-mein came next and was really flavorful, again. We had the vegetarian, but I'm sure it would have been just as delicious with a meat addition as well. After that came the momos, which were like meatball-filled dumplings, in different sauces. I liked those as well, but (if I'm remembering correctly) I enjoyed the chili flavored ones the most. All in all it was a great meal, great service & a very comfortable setting. If I could change anything about the meal, I would order much spicier versions of the dishes we had. Other than that, it was really nice. I will definitely be...

I did take out and order online. They had the food ready, the service was excellent. I will definitely come in for a nice meal next time. My rating is for a strip mall restaurant... however the food can hold its own as a full sit down. Delicious.

The food was ready on time and waiting. Everything was included and well packed. Everything looked neat and clean. The wait staff were very nice and asked if I had any questions or needed anything else. They even gave me a coupon for my next meal.

Ordering online from their site was easy and one could make selections on spice level as well as any add ons. Only one improvement I noted: when the Naan comes with ones meal, they should give the option to upgrade to a garlic or onion for a small price instead of ordering extra— I don’t like to waste.

The food was very good for in essence “fast sit down or take out” at a small strip mall. I like spicy food and they definitely give it. The Vindaloo was very tasty, delicious in fact and the spice level was great. Loved the Chili Paneer- wow tasty and tangy flavor. The Samosas were also very good, even on takeout they were crispy upon getting home and tasted great. Loved the Veg Biryani - again the use of spices were very good. The garlic naan was just ok. Didn’t have the garlic taste that I have seen in other locations. They also added a mint sauce that is rather spicy- loved it, very nice flavor.

Overall really great experience with Nepalese dining experience. I am sold, will definitely stop by for a sit down...

I found another gem and this is why I love Houston. Good food is everywhere. My experience at Kathmandu Curry and Bar was nothing short of delightful. Nestled amidst the hustle of a shopping plaza, I stumbled upon this gem for a quick bite, initially planning to share an appetizer or dessert. However, the aroma coming from a nearby customer's sizzling plate swiftly changed ny mind, leading to a full meal.

The traditional Nepali decor and charm immediately set the scene for a memorable dining experience. After perusing the menu, we opted for the chicken tikka with garlic Naan and the lamb chops accompanied by chickpea chutney. When our plates arrived, they were sizzling hot, adding an extra layer of excitement to our meal.

Every bite was a revelation; the flavors were off the chain. I found myself unable to resist the garlic Naan, which elevated the entire dining experience. The milk balls we had for dessert provided the perfect sweet ending, albeit with a richness that made two pieces just the right amount.

Kathmandu Curry and Bar exceeded my expectations in every way, and I've already recommended it to friends as a hidden...
