Kura Revolving Sushi Bar: A Fun and Affordable Way to Enjoy Sushi
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is a Japanese restaurant chain that offers a fun and affordable way to enjoy sushi. The restaurant has a conveyor belt that carries sushi plates around the dining area, and you can pick and choose the plates that you want.
I recently went to Kura Revolving Sushi Bar with some friends, and we all had a great time. We started our meal with the California roll, which was delicious. For our main course, we ordered a variety of plates, including the spicy tuna roll, the salmon roll, and the shrimp tempura roll. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the prices were very reasonable.
The service at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar was friendly and efficient. The staff was always happy to help us choose the right plates, and they were quick to refill our drinks.
The atmosphere at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is fun and lively. The restaurant is decorated in a modern style, and there is a constant buzz of activity.
Here are some of the pros of Kura Revolving Sushi Bar:
Fun and interactive way to enjoy sushi Affordable prices Fresh and delicious food Friendly and efficient service Lively atmosphere Here are some of the cons of Kura Revolving Sushi Bar:
Can be crowded, especially during peak hours The food can be a bit repetitive if you don't order a variety of plates The prices are slightly higher than other conveyor belt sushi restaurants in Houston Overall, I would recommend Kura Revolving Sushi Bar to anyone looking for a fun and affordable way to enjoy sushi. The food is delicious, the service is great, and the atmosphere is lively. However, if you are looking to save money, you might be better off going to Miyako or Oishi, as the prices are slightly lower.
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
I agree with your assessment that Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is a bit better than your normal Houston conveyor belt sushi place. However, I would not say that it is worth spending an extra $10-15 per person just to go to Kura. If you are on a budget, I would recommend going to Miyako or Oishi, as they offer just as good of sushi at a fraction of the price.
Overall, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is a great option if you are looking for a fun and affordable way to enjoy sushi. However, if you are on a budget, there are other great options...
Read moreI used to loving coming to this restaurant, me and my friends recently came to the restaurant for the first time in like 2 years. We came during lunch around 1:30. First off, they gave us a broken table that didn’t allow us to slide our plates in which didn’t allow us to get prizes. THE WHOLE POINT OF REVOLVING SUSHI IS THE PRIZES. We asked to move to a different table after we saw that there were new open tables and this is before we even got water or any food, but they didn’t allow us to do that. They told us that we can just leave the plates and they will take care of the plates. That never happened, they left the plates on our table and we didn’t have space on our table. 2) the machine was broken, so the machine kept ordering us food we never ordered. We kept calling through the call button on the machine but no one came, and this happened multiple times. And this wasn’t bc the machine was not ringing them, bc everything we click call it rings and we can hear it but no one came to our table. Not only that we had to manually walk and find a server to talk to about the order that keeps coming to us. IT HAPPENED 3 times WHERE THEY SENT US FOOD WE DIDNT ORDER. Not only that we heard one of the servers blame us and stating that we shouldn’t order it WHEN THEY GAVE US A BROKEN TABLE. OUR TABLE LITERALLY HAD A PIECE OF PAPER THAT SAID OUT OF SERVICE. 3) THEY CHARGED ME 78 DOLLARS 3 times. NOT 1, NOT 2 BUT 3 TIMES. They blamed us and told us, to ur card decline. THAT DID NOT MAKE SENSE BECAUSE WE JUST USED THAT CARD at the Daiso next door. We love Daiso. So we checked our online balance and we saw that they charged us 3 times. So I get it, sometimes machines malfunction and that getting accidentally charged happens all the time, but the lack of service provided was not an excuse. Giving us a broken table when there were open tables were not an excuse. Also blaming us for giving us and knowingly giving us a broken table is not an excuse. And lastly ignoring us and not coming to our table, making us manually find them Every-time we have to get an issue fixed or getting any service is not an excuse.
Made this post years ago but after the overcharge THEY NEVER CALLED ME TO FIX IT, instead I had to call them and they also DIDN'T even apologize or comp the meal which after what they had put us through, they...
Read moreWe have been going to Kura for some time now, especially this location. About...4-5 years? ANd over the time it went through changes and prices. And from humans to robots haha. But eating here has always been a delight, it's nice, clean, family friendly and the main attraction (the conveyor belt) is enjoyable. So why not the 5 stars? As much as I enjoy this place, I can't say my last 2 times here has been enjoyable. Reason 1) The robots, as much as I love these cute waiters bringing our drinks, I'm not sure why the last two times they failed to bring us our drink while other patrons get theres when we were there before them. I'm not so sure how the system works for just water drink, but it does get frustrating constantly ordering the drink 30 minutes into your meal (and no it wasn't busy when we come in, usually we come in after the big dinner rush). Reason 2) Prices. I know I know, inflation hit us harder than we would like it, especially where we like to eat, but now the prices for simple plates are almost to 3-4 dollars, that's insane to me. And yes I understand that there's a variety of reason for the price hike, but none that can garner this. Back then we would eat to our fullest content and the max the bill would get, plus tip, would be 70-80. Now the bill goes to around 115 (plus tip). I don't know about the rest of you, but even my amusement on the concept of getting prizes for eating is starting to diminish a little each time. Reason 3) Food. Yeah it's all raw and sometimes you just don't know who actually touch what on this belt, just have to take a chance. But I think I can tell really stale fish when I see it, especially if it's red tuna that's on the verge of turning gray. Some of the food is great, some is a miss (me personally is the miso soup and the ramen, just skip out and go down the strip to get actual ramen for bigger portion and a little more of the price. you won't regret). Overall this place will always have a special place for us, but sadly will be the last time we visit for anime prizes and now...
