I wanted to love this business, truly, but every second there made me regret my choice to even come. Came with a friend for 2 Express Pedi. A $25 pedi upped to $28, no problem itâs understandable with post COVID. It was when we were asked to choose our colors that the talking started. Context: Im Vietnamese, so is my friend and we speak/understand it fluently. We are aware of the sigma that comes w going to an Asian salon though so we prefer not to vocalize that we are Viet. My friend had left to use the restroom and as I choose my colors, I can hear the employees behind basically conversing w one another to persuade us to a more $$$ pedicures. I saw nothing much w that, I understand the hustle. It was when the lady came and showed me the menu and asked which one and despite me saying Express and pointing with my finger to Express, she cuts me off and says âBasic/Deluxe Pedicure?â I calmly say no express. She rolls her eyes and says OMG she wants a express too in Viet. She turns back and points at my friend âhim too??â I nodded and both employees sign is distain. She quickly directs me to the chair and I ask if I could use the restroom prior to starting and she look irritated(i guess I should of held it, the salon was hardly busy) We felt bery unwelcomed and awkward through the process. My friendâs pedicure felt rushed in their perspective while mine took longer as I had polish but I assume my lady cut too much skin cause when she went in to clean the polish with acetone/alcohol, it would severelyyyyyy burn. (Update: 2 days after, I have an ingrown nail and endure sm pain walking at work) It was brought if we were Viet, which I was honest we were, where we felt some smiles and care were put into our service. However, thinking it was just us being unlucky w/ new techs, I was much wrong as I witness another tech across the room throw a fit in Viet about her client being too picky on what she wanted so she was gonna leave early than stay and work that lady to get more money like she wanted. It just awes me how a staff could be so careless and lazy in a CUSTOMER SERVICE business. Yes I know the nail business is not an easy and non laborous career, but itâs not that difficult to be kind. Anyone looking to find salon, best spend those extra bucks elsewhere for better service and care. Dont cheap out like I did.
Note to Employees: Chose your words VERY wisely cause you can never know whoâs around you that can hear and UNDERSTAND you. I respect a hustle but not manipulation and an attitude. That will never get...
Read moreEDIT: Caesars kindly invited me back to their salon to fix my manicure at no extra charge. Mia was able to remove the previous ones and redo the nails exactly to my liking! I gave the same reference photo as the first time. Mia was really attentive to details and gentle making sure each nail was perfect. The receptionist also checked to ensure it was a good experience! I really appreciated their strive to make this a good experience.
ORIGINAL: I think this place is a hit or miss depending on which nail tech you get. I went with my mom and both of us got gel nails with builder gel base. My mom was paired with a lovely nail tech, Mia, who was super diligent and did an excellent job. As for me, I left hating my nails. I had a different nail tech. She was super kind but was rough with my nails. For one, my previous gel x extensions I had on were ripped off instead of soaked off, ripping off large portions of my natural nail and damaging it so much I needed to cut everything short. I showed her a reference picture of what I wanted, an ombre with cat eye polish which she said she could do. While filing the builder gel she frequently hit my cuticles, leaving cuts on 2 fingers. Then when it came to the cat eye polish, she painted them on like a french tip. When she showed me, I asked if she could make it more like an ombre instead of a harsh line and she didn't seem to understand, telling me it will be ombre when she uses the magnet. When I was still apprehensive, she said she could also paint it solid with the cat eye, which I declined because that was also not what I wanted. At this point, I was already not in a good mood and just wanted her to finish so I can leave and so just agreed to everything and told her its ok. I will admit that I am a more soft spoken person and not great at standing up for myself. My mom told her nail tech, Mia, that I didn't like my nails which she apologized and she offered to redo them, but I was on the verge of tears and didn't want to cause a scene so I declined. Mia was so lovely. In the end we left paying full price with their first timer discount.
Attached is a picture of my mom's nails (orange), my nails (pink), and the reference I had shown my nail tech (blue). To preface, I asked for pink and not blue but I wanted the ombre affect from...
Read moreFor about 5 months, I stayed loyal to Caesarâs Nail Spa, but these last two visits have ruined that. A month ago, I went in for a fill. The tech had a hard time matching the correct hue of pink for a French ombrĂŠ set. The result: thick, uneven, oddly shaped, and colored nails. Linda was nice enough to make accommodations for me to return at later time for a better experience. Today, I went in on a rainy day so it was incredibly slow. Again, a simple fill. This time, they ensure I loved to color and we opted for a French set. My issue was with the amount of times I had to correct missteps during the session. You canât even relax because when you do the techs cut corners. I shouldnât have to call Linda to get backup when something is clearly wrong with the way the service is conducted. Nor should I get an attitude about it when Iâm being respectful. A FILL took well over 2 hours. For a short French set, that is ridiculous. But I still agreed to come back later in the day because they usually do a great job on my pedi and I have a trip soon. The pedi was amazing, but the tech not being versed in a French tip gel polish was the issue. At first, he had me wait for a tech who was going to help him with the polish. That tech ignored him and another lady came over 25 minutes later with an attitude. I got there at 5:30, by 7:15 I still had no polish on my toes. When he did polish, every nail was either poorly shaped, or not matching. I kept asking for corrections and received huffing and puffing. It simply makes the customer give up and just accept nonsense. Even before I left I kept saying Iâm not happy. But at that point, everyone was concerned with going home. I am over trying to work with this salon. I always tip as a courtesy, but that is my last time going back until I see reviews suggesting otherwise. My toes are mismatched and I spent a total of 4 hours on a fill and pedi. That is ridiculous. If youâre particular about your nails, this may not be the shop for you. But they have great drinks and Linda is a great front...
