Huge spot, where the Le Peep used to be. Chargrilled oysters were PHENOMENAL. Get the Cajun ones! The default ones are good too. Crawfish was clean and tasty!! I think I got one up from the regular spice and it did tickle, sucking in air between my teeth towards the end, nose putting in a few laps around the track. Server told us the hottest options have habanjeros--might do it next time. Couldn't figure out what the orange undertones were in the boil, but it honestly should change. It was almost too sweet for everything. Sausage, again clashes with the boil. I really just think fine tuning the flavors would grab more people to come here, especially because it's already great! Service could have been faster. Now, I did expect it to be busy because of the special they were running on crawfish, so my review is in no way directed to the absolutely LOVELY waitstaff. Because why is it just two servers scheduled, and they're hostesses AND they're bartenders? On a night they're running a good crawfish special? Those ladies were absolutely phenomenal at what they do! Extremely efficient despite having to hold the restaurant together. Atmosphere is nice and all but because there's just a tall ceiling and SUPER open space, having even just one party of 5+ can get things loud. Insanely smart move having a set of sinks in the dining area for guests to use. Do I recommend: YES! Will I come back: For those...
Read moreI went to the crab station on westheimer last week and, I am just now getting over my food poisoning after eating their food which I should have known was coming after how funky the food looked and tasted. But not only was that a problem but the portions are so small for what your paying I paid $30 for what felt like 5 crawfish, 1 shrimp,1sausage ,2 corn ,2 potatoes and 35 lemons, tfk I need all them lemons for if i barely got food?!?, the only thing good about the place was the ONLY server in the joint her name was Jessenia she immediately greeted me sat me and got my drink out and after giving me a few of her favorite options had my food out in about 15-20 minutes. I’ll just say if yall are going anywhere for seafood go to crafty crab you’d get about 10pounds of boiled seafood for less than $150 bucks. Don’t waste yalls...
Read moreIf it were possible to give 0 stars I would. Food took FOREVER. Service is a joke here. It’s very overpriced and the “bartender” was terrible. She also was serving tables and she smelled like weed. It’s not a welcoming place and is considerably more expensive than other seafood restaurants in town. The calamari was very small portioned and didn’t taste like anything. There’s no prices on the menu for their boils because they know they’re overcharging. 2 snow crab clusters and a pound of shrimp is $75 here. We were BEYOND disappointed and will never return. It’s very slow service, the waitress was high as a kite, sausage wasn’t good, overpriced like hell, still. Two Dungeness crab clusters is $55. We left mindblown at this joke of an establishment. Stay away from this place. It definitely put a damper on our trip to...
