After saying NO to that traffic on I10 I dipped off into this place to grab a bite and let time pass. Was greeted with smiles when I walked in. Although noone spoke i felt welcome(maybe thats just me).Grabbed a table and my waiter came over with chips and salsa. I said to myself they know what they doing when it comes to chips. They were the right thickness perfect crunch and were warm. My waiter spoke to me in Spanish I enjoyed the challenge of trying to communicate in his language although we spoke a little English in the gaps. The salsa verde was tasty. I ordered guacamole also, it was a creamier texture than i usually like but it was not bad. My coke was a soft drink, guess what it was not a can coke like so many places in Dallas serve you. I ordered the combination fajitas. When they arrived, they weren't sizzling, (served it on a plate not a skillet) so I was suspicious bc the onions were only lightly sautéed and there were no bell peppers, until that first bite......the meat was juicy and tender not heavily flavored but just enough. Flour tortillas were homemade and delicious. Now hold on.... the beans were good you know like everyone elses beans but THAT RICE, look at me in my eyes, that rice is the truth. Best mexican rice ever! All the other places should be forced to stop selling rice if it's not like this. I asked for more it was so good. Service from my water was impeccable. This place left a good impression on me and I had to let it be known. The food is good here yall! The reason im so sure is when i got back to I10 the madness was still happening and I could only think about how good the food was. My advice is that the...
Read moreI came here a with another couple a few weeks ago and I was disappointed. Upon arrival we waited at the front to be seated (just like the sign showed) and we’re met with random stares from employees. Mind you the place was not full, I would even say that the place was empty. We waited close to 5 minutes before someone actually escorted us to a table.
Upon being seated, we ordered two adult beverages, however they didn’t have any Modeló, I didn’t mind because I wasn’t the one drinking it, but it was unusual that they wouldn’t have it in stock. I ordered a Paloma. I saw on the menu that it was made with real grapefruit juice, but I promise you that it was wade with grapefruit soda, which was a disappointment.
The food was also disappointing. We ordered fajita and when we received it, the fajita had this grey color to it, on top of being extremely chewy. I want to say that they microwaved it or reheated it in some way, either way it wasn’t very good. The tortillas as well were old in my opinion. They got extremely stale after 5 minutes or so, making me wonder how long they were sitting out before making it to our table.
Overall the place was a disappointment. I...
Read moreDISCRIMINATION AGAINST ITALIANS. One day I arrived at this restaurant. Upon entering the building, the place looks great. There is cultural ambience and hispanic designs within the place. The food tastes great and looks good!. I'm posting a sincere message about my experience. What stood out the most of this place was the service. I am an italian. I had a phone conversation with my mother in fluent italian. I noticed the waiters would look at me and stare at me as if I was scum. The waiter would play disrespectful mindgames with me. At one point, the waiter addressed my italian heritage with his co workers and called my ethnic group "italianos loccos" also his tone was aggressive Offensively expressing that I'm crazy as well as other italians. I spoke to the owner. The owner eduardo had a unfriendly facial expression. Eduardo lied about me and said,"youre loud" eduardo refused to serve me and followed me to the door as I left. YES THE FOOD TASTES GREAT AND THE PLACE APPEARS BEAUTIFul. If you're italian avoid this place. You'll be subjected to a disrespectful and cruel experience To Non Italians You'll love this place and be...
