Little Woodrow's Rice Village — Restaurant in Houston

I tried this Little Woodrow's this past Tuesday for their Trivia night with some friends. Trivia begins at 8pm so we all arrived at 7:45pm and had no problems finding seats, it did begin to fill up quickly though. With it being a hot and muggy summer night, we were lucky to get a table inside (even though the windows were open so it didn't feel like we were inside) and got to be slightly cooler than those folk sitting outside who didn't have the pleasure of sitting under ceiling fans!

They use the Geeks Who Drink trivia questions which can be tough, but overall seemed like a lot of general knowledge! I was disappointed in the sound system and overall trivia part, it was confusing and we couldn't hear the questions half the time. I wish they would put the questions on different TVs throughout the bar so we could read the questions! I get that it's noisy in bars, especially when some tables aren't playing, but this was extremely difficult to hear and we found ourselves just getting frustrated while playing instead of actually having fun. I will say, the hosts of the night were very nice, they gave us a few free drink coupons which was awesome! I don't think it was their fault, just the bar was tough to host trivia or the sound system or something!

As for the rest of the bar, there isn't food served at Little Woodrow's so eat before you come! There is a nice big patio outside (which seemed to have a lot of smokers, happy I was inside). They do have different happy hour specials throughout the week, Tuesdays is $4.50 giant mugs...

Came here after work. The brunette bartender said they only do industry discounts but still honored it because we work in the village. I ordered 2 margs for myself and 2 for my friend. Our total was $20 and the industry discount was $3. I NEVER tip on my card so whatever cash I had I tipped which was a $1 and change. The bartender returned and was upset that I tipped 10% and said “ I work on tips and I hooked you up, the least you could have done was tip me more”. I explained to here that I do not tip on my card, she did not care. Me and my friend left and did not finish our second drink. We used to come to Woodrow’s after work all the time and had a great time. NEVER AGAIN! I miss the old bartender, I’m glad she moved on in her career but I had better customer service with her and tipped her well because she was very attentive and friendly versus the experience I...

Alright guys let's get into it! Ladies wear something cute but comfortable and bring your friends.... this place is full of guys. It has a bunch of TVs and a bunch of beer so of course... It's a male friendly watering hole. There is a cool iJukebox thing on the wall but it's hard to hear the music over the screams and moans of all the men watching sports. The outside is a spacious patio area while the inside is a nice sized bar. It's a great mid summer joint to visit but I'm not sure if I would come during Texas Winter (February 1- May 1).
