Mia Pizza — Restaurant in Houston

DO NOT ORDER FROM MIA PIZZA. We have been forced to file a BBB report.

My wife placed an order online last night that came to 28 bucks. Ordered at 9:10 pm. She called the restaurant at 9:24 to be sure she had marked the order as delivery, which they said she had, and they told her it would be 30 minutes. They called us back to verify our address at 9:32.

At 9:40 my wife called again to inquire when the order would arrive and we were again told that it would be 30 minutes.

I wake up for work at 4am, so when 10pm came around with still no pizza my wife called to cancel the order. Across the room I heard the woman working there become upset and start yelling. Note that my wife was not in any way rude when she asked to cancel. I took the phone and said that we no longer wanted the order that was approaching an hour to fulfill, especially as we lived less than 2 miles from the restaurant and it still had not arrived.

A man took the phone and literally began shouting at me over the phone. I became upset and demanded a refund, where up in the man simply hung up the phone on me. I immediately called back, and the man without preamble or prompting again began shouting at me over the phone. I told him I wanted a refund or we would report the business to the BBB. He responded with more shouting. I repeated myself three more times, and he again hung up on me.

We locked the doors and went to bed. We heard the delivery guy show up at 10:15, well over double the stated time. Super rude, super late, refused to refund. BBB report filed.

I ordered from this place on a few occasions and in two years time this places food quality has declined. The " chicken" wings are abnormally shaped and sized, down to the bone. I honestly believe they are feeding us rat meat. There is no usual chicken cartilage on the bone endings, and on the flat wing when you remove the meat, the bone litterally comes apart. I absolutely believe they are feeding us rat!!! I told myself I would leave that place alone... But today I woke up hungry, hadn't gone shopping and the weather was bad... It was the only place open, so against my better judgement I went ahead and ordered. Combination rice and crispy lemon pepper wings. The rice was just terrible, smelled old. The smell was unappetizing, stale like dirty socks. The wings... I asked for them crispy... They were( extremely) crispy like over cooked and had no flavor... Even the ranch dressing tasted weird. I waisted 20 bucks. I should have waited for another place to open. I guarantee their own staff doesn't eat there. Please choose somewhere else to go. I went to Mia pizza on 03/21/19. I hadn’t been in awhile because I moved. On their window before walking in they have a special that says 7.99 for a large cheese carry out pizza and an extra large cheese for 9.99. I go in to place my order for a large cheese pizza. The woman rings me up and charges me 11.99. I say your door states it’s7.99. She says let me check. She comes back and says yes it’s 7.99 but, I’m going to charge you $1.60 for 1 topping. I pickup their pizza menu. In the pizza menu it states the same as the special on the window. One large cheese pizza for $7.99. She says oh I thought you want extra cheese. I said no I didn’t ask for that just the special that I see here in your menu. She rings me up and I wait for them to prepare my pizza. I get my pizza and they gave me a medium pizza and cut it into small slices. I am very disappointed in the service they provide. If that’s not the special you have, take it down.
