Miller's Cafe — Restaurant in Houston

The one star is only for the kind employee that seemed to understand and address my concern with professionalism. I visited this establishment on 3/24. I was not greeted or acknowledged. I looked at the menu for a while and waited for someone to approach the order counter. No one did. So I approached the first employee I saw at the bar who then said hello and proceeded to assist me. She was kind during check out. I went to the restroom and when I came back towards the front of the store I noticed that the employee who was making my burger (the same lady that took my order) was making my burger with no gloves on. When she saw me approaching she put her gloves on. Her back was to me so I said excuse me, to which she ignored and did not even turn around to see if I was talking to her. There was another female employee there who asked me what I needed. I kindly asked if I could get another burger bun because I saw the lady using her bare hands to make my burger. She said no problem and was very helpful. But when she told the other lady what I said she immediately caught an attitude and stated “ it’s funny how they see that but don’t see the washing the hands part.” I was literally shocked. Like how are you going to get upset for a customer asking you to use gloves when preparing their food. I didn’t see her wash her hands and my response would have been the same had I saw her wash them. She then said “that’s okay we can give this one to door dash” which meant sadly that the burger bun that I refused was going to another customer. So please beware. I attempted to tell her that I didn’t mean any harm by my request and she said (still with an attitude) that sometimes they get busy and they don’t use gloves all the time. Mind you, I was the only one waiting for an order. There were only 3 other people in there that had already been serviced. I got a refund and left. There was no way I was going to eat anything she made after seeing how upset she was over a simple request. I hope the right people in management see this so they can address this problem. I...

First time here, adorable place, the food was fantastic and the Gal at the front counter was awesome. I didn't have a burger, I ordered a tuna melt and got a tuna sandwich with some cheese, not an issue it was still really tasty, I absolutely enjoyed it. My husband had the Philly Cheese steak and said it was awesome as well. Fries were great, nice and crisp and the onion rings were on point.)

There's only one thing I had an issue with, they give you a ticket and call out the number when it's ready. I was listening and heard the portly young man with the mustache (food runner I assume?) call our number, and then go waddlng as fast as his legs could go toward the back. Yelling out our number looking everywhere but where we were sitting, the restaurant was super busy (I can see why! Great food!) but we were seated toward the front. We tried to get the guys attention, but he wasn't paying us any mind. So we waited for him to get closer so we could get our food. All I did was very politely asked if we had the right number, and the dude half slams our tray on the table, corrects me on what the number was (granted first time here, I don't know your numbering system) and when I smile and said cool, thank you very much. He...Grunts at me...I'm sorry, a "no problem, " "you're welcome," or even thank you. No, I got an irritated grunt. I'm sure I'm not the first, nor the last, that this has happened to. I'm just choosing to acknowledge it. I'm sorry if he was having a bad day, we all have bad days, but please don't take it out on someone who's just trying to enjoy their meal, and not be pissed off by an angry employee. If you don't like your job, go do something else. Sorry, but not sorry, this kind of attitude happens more often than not, and I finally had enough. Hopefully this will be addressed by the owners so that others might not have to experience this in an all but extremely pleasant...

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would!! This is my first time here and I must say I loved it alot. This is by far the best burger joint out there and no one can compete with them and I stand strong on that statement!!! First and foremost I would like to say that Mrs. Ginger is amazing. Her service and energy is so great and she is so kind and it's very noticeable that she loves what she does and her energy and kindness brings alot to this business. Millers burgers are extremely delicious packed and I mean packed with flavor fresh toppings and these burgers are huge especially the dbl bacon burger. These burgers are bigger than whataburger and alot more delicious. The menu is suited for anyone so I highly recommend this place. The atmosphere is amazing it's pretty big and the cooks are doing an amazing job cooking these burgers. I highly suggest everyone to come out and check this place out. If you have been here already go ahead and swing by again if you haven't or are visiting Houston this is the place to eat a juicy fat delicious burger that is packed with so much flavor.
