Murphy's Deli — Restaurant in Houston

I have only used their services a couple of times, but let me tell you all that these people truly understand customer service!! The owner and his wife are the sweetest people and work as hard as anyone else. I hate to say anything negative, but it became such a positive experience I MUST share. I made a pretty large order for the company I work for, and the delivery guy was friendly, energetic, and truly seemed to appreciate our business. Turns out he forgot a simple cup of soup. I called the store to let them know, not really to get anything except for a refund just for the forgotten soup, but the owner himself apologized and insisted they deliver it. I told him no hard feelings, and that I wasn't going to ask them to do all of that to which he apologized again and it ended there. Well about thirty minutes later, in walks the delivery guy with the soup in hand. It may not seem like such a big deal, but this world has forgotten what the word SERVICE means in every aspect, so naturally it was a testimony to the culture of the folks at this Murphy's. Murphy's is near my office and we call on them frequently for conference lunches. They are always friendly, professional, accommodating, punctual, and they deliver exactly as we ordered, or in the rare instance anything is found to be different, it is corrected within minutes. Not only is the food excellent and fresh, but the customer service far exceeds the norm, which is extremely refreshing. We have been working with them for a little over two years, they have been consistent, and we plan to continue to do as much business with them...

my review is nearly identical to the most recent review from two months ago. I ate here regularly ten years ago. I will give it one more shot and order my usual next time. But today's meal was very disappointing.

Today I got the French dip with chips and drink for $14.50. Mightve bn the worst French dip sandwich I ever had. This place use to be the bomb.
