My experience today with the front attendant Jane was strange. I normally go to the galleria location because it is closer to my home and place of work but I happened to be in the Memorial area so I figured I’d try this location. As soon as I walked in, Jane greeted me with a disgruntled hello and quickly came around the counter to meet me looking at the different cake choices. She stood over me and said nothing until I asked her what flavors they were sampling for the day. I told her which cakes I wanted and she bagged them up. At the same time a white man and woman walked into the store & I noticed her demeanor change. She greeted them vibrantly and from BEHIND the counter, told them what flavors she was sampling without hesitation. It was at that point that I felt uncomfortable. I quickly grabbed my cakes and left the store... However, when I called in regards to my order they had no records order being placed, even though I had order number and receipt. Ordered showed in the following day. Strange!?!? Yes. I requested a refund. After not receiving it, I check receipt and noticed the card that was refunded to, was not my card. Yes, I should have verified the card, but assumed it would go back to the card I paid. That’s how it usually works. Go back to the store with my issue. I’m informed there’s nothing they can do being a refund has been issued, even though it wasn’t issued to my card. 🤷🏽♀️ The manager said she would need to discuss matter with another manager, who will call me within an hour. Read moreOver a week ago I visited this location, I purchased 3 individual cakes and one of them had a hair in it. I called the store and the store asked me to send them an email of a picture of the hair and that they would contact the owners. It's been now a week and I have not heard back from the owners nor the manager. I visited the store as I needed to purchase another cake and asked for an update regarding my previous inquiry. The lady at the front went to the back to consult the manager, the manager did not come out. Not once to greet me or to address my concern. The lady in the front was her Messenger and stated that the manager will be contacting the owners. I continued to wait. However, the manager never came out of the back room.
