Edited review - late Jan 2021: So after trying the triple szechuan fried rice and loving it, went here again to try other indo-chinese preparations and I was super disappointed. We tried veg hakka noodles, chilli chicken gravy and chicken lollipop. The noodles and chilli chicken were terrible, the noodles smelled of oil and tasted off, and the chilli chicken tasted like nothing, there was no flavor at all. The lollipop were oily but tasted good, 5 for $10, but the szechuan chutney/sauce with it was not good at all. Wouldn't recommend the hakka noodles and chilli chicken gravy at all! Edited review - early Jan 2021: I have been here multiple times in the past few months and they definitely have consistent taste and flavor! The chatpata chicken is a must try! It has the classic dhaba style taste! I would also recommend the indo-chinese preparations, just tell them to make it extra spicy to get that Mumbai street food taste. I tried the triple schezwan rice, and that was exactly like Mumbai indo-chinese street food! Nov 2020: We had been here on a weekend for dinner. The place was very crowded and COVID-19 precautions were not really being followed. There were huge groups of people in shared spaces going around without masks. I would not recommend this place for the vibe or ambiance. But the food is amazing! I will definitely recommend the chicken chatpata which is proper Indian dhaba style preparations. The chicken kolhapuri is also delicious, but not really kolhapuri preparation that you would get in India, but very tasty! Naans were fresh, but wasn't impressed with the garlic naan because it had a lot of either burnt or raw garlic, nothing in between. The frozen naans from stores are better. Peshawari chicken was a little on the creamy and nutty side and not spicy at all, which is how it should be is what they said. Overall take food to go but wouldn't recommend for dine-in.

We recently ordered catering Nukkad Dhaba for my niece's 1st birthday party, and I can't praise them enough! From the moment I placed the order to the moment we devoured the last bite, everything was perfect. We opted for a variety of dishes, including Paneer Masala, Malai Kofta, Dal Tadka, Jeera Rice, Butter Naan, Bullet Naan, and refreshing Butter Milk. Every single item was incredibly delicious. The Paneer Masala was rich and flavorful, the Malai Kofta was melt-in-your-mouth amazing, and the Dal Tadka was the perfect comforting touch. The rice was perfectly cooked, and both the Butter and Bullet Naan were soft and fresh. Even the Butter Milk was a hit! All of our guests, from the little ones to the adults, thoroughly enjoyed the food. It was a major highlight of the party, and it made the celebration even more special. The portions were generous, the food was clearly prepared with care, and the taste was authentic and unforgettable. I highly recommend Nukkad Dhaba for anyone looking for delicious, high-quality Indian food, especially for catering events. They made our niece's first birthday party a culinary success! Thank you for the wonderful food and service!

I’ve been eating at Nukkad Dhaba for over a decade, and it continues to be my go-to spot for truly authentic Indian / Mumbai flavors. Their butter chicken has been a favorite for years — and no, not the sweet orange “makhani” version most places serve, but the real deal: rich, red, with shredded chicken, just like it’s known in parts of Europe and, of course, Mumbai. Their beef samosas, Pahadi chicken boti, and mutton or chicken biryani are consistently top-notch — packed with flavor and true to authentic Mumbai street-style cooking. Today, they went above and beyond. I tried their matka goat biryani, murgh malai, goat sukka sizzler, paneer achari, chicken achari, and dal makhani — and honestly, it felt like I was transported straight to Mumbai. Every bite was deeply spiced, comforting, and made just the way it should be. And of course, I wrapped it all up with their jaggery tea — bold, sweet, and warming. A perfect desi-style kadak chai, just like Mumbai cutting chai. This is a true hidden gem — a humble spot with unbeatable flavor. After a decade of loving their food, I figured it was about time I shared the love.

As an Indian living far away from home in the US, finding a place like Nukkad Dhabba feels like stumbling upon a treasure chest of memories and flavors. From the moment I stepped into Nukkad Dhabba, I was greeted with the unmistakable aromas of spices that instantly transported me back to the streets of India.

The walls adorned with colorful art and the rustic charm of the decor made me feel like I had found a piece of my homeland right here. But it was the menu that truly stole my heart. The dishes at Nukkad Dhabba are not just food; they are a journey through the tastes and textures of India's diverse culinary heritage.

Every bite was a nostalgic reminder of the food my mother used to cook, the street vendors I used to visit, and the festivals I celebrated with my family. It's not just a meal; it's a heartfelt connection to my roots.

What sets Nukkad Dhabba apart, however, is not just the incredible food, but the way they make you feel like family. The warmth of the staff and their genuine concern for my dining experience made me feel so cared for.

Nukkad Dhabba's ability to capture the essence of India while being thousands of miles away is truly magical. To the team at Nukkad Dhabba, thank you for bringing a piece of my homeland to my doorstep. Your restaurant is not just a place to eat; it's a sanctuary of memories and flavors that will forever hold a special place in my heart.

With heartfelt...

When it comes to Indian cuisine, authenticity is the key, and Nukkad Dhaba has nailed it to perfection. This gem of an Indian restaurant is the place to be if you're seeking bona fide Indian flavors right in the heart of Houston. The star of our visit to Nukkad Dhaba was, without a doubt, the Bombay-style Butter Chicken. A traditional dish from the Indian subcontinent, it was exquisitely prepared with a creamy, velvety sauce enveloping tender chicken pieces. The depth of flavor was mind-boggling, managing to capture the distinct taste of Bombay cuisine in every bite. This was simply the best Butter Chicken I've tasted on this side of the Atlantic. The Chapata Chicken was another revelation - a perfect symphony of spices that speaks volumes about the mastery of the chef. The combination of spices was balanced to a tee, resulting in a dish that was both exciting and satisfying, brimming with the essence of Indian culinary tradition. The true mark of an authentic Indian restaurant is not just about serving great food, but also about creating an atmosphere that mirrors the vibrancy and warmth of India. Nukkad Dhaba excels in this aspect, offering a true taste of India in every sense. It's like taking a culinary journey to India without stepping out of the States. Here's to Nukkad Dhaba, the crown jewel of Indian cuisine in the U.S., deserving a glowing...
