Pacific Coast Tacos has become a no-brainer choice when I wake up hungry and want one of these best breakfast tacos outside of the ones I can make for myself. The ingredients and approach to top tier craftsmanship regarding food service is the reason PCT is quickly becoming a destination for tacos and other Mexican food fare done quick but never carrying the same annoyances and oversight that lower tier corporate fast food chains often embody.
I often get the average Joe bacon and sometimes the Patron which is egg bacon chorizo and sausage.
They not only offer breakfast burritos and tacos until 2pm, but botānas and lunch/dinner choices that can transform a mundane meal choice into a sublime gastro experience. They offer a wide range of hot sauces, pickled onions, Mexican cokes, and alcoholic drinks.
It’s your duty as a foodie or urban explorer to find your own destinations and once you do give them your patronage often, this is the only way that our choices remain varied and eclectic not only food options but all other aspects. Taking money away from soulless corporations that don’t care about the city or the population and do not recycle any revenue into the town, when you instead exercise options like this one you’re making a statement and keeping the money in Houston!!
Great job Pacific Coast Tacos, keep doing what you’re doing, and we will keep coming back time and time again!...
Read moreSo... The owner gave me a gift card over at "On the Kirb" on Kirby. So I took myself and a friend to go experience this new and upcoming flavor Taco place on Alabama/ Shepherd across from Earth Provisions and the amazing Trader Joe's... I went for my first visit on 3/31/25 and forgot to use my Gift card, because I get to excited over new places to go, so.. I just paid the bill and moved on, "BUT" . Realized I can now come back to this incredible establishment for a second round of Tacos and draft beers.. by the way, they have wines and other options as well. Like draft beers and a liquor bar So now its 04/01/25 and I'm back.... And it's even better... This location has a open airy atmosphere that can only be described as welcoming and embracing. It's also a clean and friendly environment. I rate this a 10 umong the plethora of Taco and TexMex establishments throughout The Houston area. Please check this place out. I am a real restaurant worker in Houston that will give you no BS on my personal experience at locations across the great city of Houston. Lots of...
Read moreThis was our third visit to Pacific Taco, and unfortunately, it will likely be our last. Today, I ordered a bacon, egg, cheese, and potato breakfast taco, only to find there was no bacon and barely any filling just an overwhelming amount of potatoes, more potatoes and tortilla. See picture below The taco was dry and unappetizing.
Our first visit was decent; we tried the octopus and fish tacos, which were okay, but again, there was more coleslaw than actual meat. The bill came out to over $50, including a small portion of fries, which felt overpriced for what we got.
On our second attempt to visit, we brought cash but were told the restaurant couldn’t break a $100 bill, an inconvenience that sent us away without ordering.
Despite our hope that things would improve, today’s breakfast was the last straw. This location has real potential due to its spot, but the inconsistent quality, poor value, and overall lack of attention to detail make it a 0/10 in terms of experience....
