Prejudice discrimination I have done any an everything to get a job at this location an they will not give me a opportunity to work I have applied for 3 different positions an I can’t get one so that leads me to believe they might be prejudice I literally call up there every other day an basically tell them that I want to work here an that I been trying to get a job here since they have been open don’t get me wrong they gave me 2 interviews 1 back in June-July for a server I tell him I’m trying to better myself an help my mom pay bills this man did not gaf he didn’t hire me then tells me I can apply back in 30 days so I go back online and apply for a busser an a dishwasher position it gets all the way to December before I get another interview this time it’s a week before Christmas so I go in looking nice a presentable as I should an this guy literally says you look to good to be a dishwasher in my head I already knew he wasn’t going to hire me because why are you worried about if I look good you should be worried about my work ethic then I tell him I’m looking for a better job he says you don’t wanna work nowhere’s else dude like come on you see what I’m saying long story short he say well where not going to start hiring people till the new years so here I am you schedule my interview in December just to tell me you not hiring till next year so I leave the interview sad because I’m thinking I’m about to get a job only to be told I have to wait till next year so I still don’t give up I wait till 01/2/2024 an I call them back an tell them I still want to work they tell me that they filled all the positions an that’ they not hiring any more but they keep my application on file I’m just so hurt that I had to come on here an express how I feel because I don’t think it’s fair so if you read this don’t waste your hard earned money support a business that is prejudice or discrimination against your people. The server position was $23.00 hr Dishwasher position $20 Busser position $16.50 I’m a good person that’s why it’s so hard pill to swallow for me to just let this slide because I know I...

Boy, do I ever DESPISE mandatory valet parking. So, you pull up to the restaurant and there is a parking fee of $8, sometimes more. You don't want to park drop off your fellow guests and find a place down the street so you turn over your car. Let's say your dining bill comes to $100. You leave a $20 tip for the waitstaff. This gets divided between the waiter and busboy, sometimes also the back of the house. The waitstaff has worked hard all evening to make your meal enjoyable. Meanwhile, some 3rd party company is making $8 off of every car being parked. For taking your keys and driving your car a short distance.

What a spectacular, welcoming waitstaff and management. We were greeted by several, even though the place was PACKED on the Friday we went. Looking around at the other tables, waitstaff with big smiles, making patrons comfortable. So professional. I joked that Pappas has taken the professional training of the steakhouse and applied it to a seafood restaurant.

Thank you, Omar Velasquez and Josh Cerda. And to the second sommelier whose name I've forgotten. By the way guys, it isn't "so-mah-lee-er". There is no "ah" in somellier. Lol.

The video I am posting. On a busy night like tonight the noise level is brutal. Forget about conversation. Tile floors. Reflective ceilings. LOUDNESS TO 11.

The people that I dined with enjoyed their cioppino and their salmon entrees. A lot.

I did not enjoy my gumbo because I am less salt tolerant than just about everyone. And putting potato salad in the bowl before adding the gumbo broth...not good. It immediately broke down, resulting in floating potato cubes. And mayonnaise dissipating into the gravy. In Louisiana it’s still about 50/50 opinion whether to add or not add the potato salad directly. I'd say...

The staff was very welcoming, kind and attentive. Our waiter, Michael, was a doll and very knowledgeable of the menu and recommended my cocktail in a way I couldn't refuse (he said it was #crushable )

I met 2 of my girlfriends for an early Sunday dinner/happy hour and we sat on the enclosed patio. I had a "meloncollins cure" (melon-infused vodka w/ mint and cantalope garnish) and my friends had the "tropic like it's hot" (like a spicy margarita) and the "midnight rye".

We shared a few plates, including: a dozen oysters (all 3 options from PEI, Mass., and Maryland). They were so delish, and came with their in-house homemade crackers and jam. The oysters are good enough by themselves, but you HAVE to try at least one with the "goods".

The Redfish was incredible, crispy skin and tender white succulent filet underneath. We also shared the Levain bread with soft butter and spirulina (blue algae) salt...again...DEVINE. The charred carrots were good, nothing to write home about and the yellowfin tuna crudo with cubed fresh watermelon made us want to pick up the dish and drink it to the last drop.

The ambience was super adorable, upscale yet welcoming and casual, perfect for a date night, girls night or even small quiet family gathering. The bathrooms were even super fancy and cute. Speaking of the bathrooms, as we approached a member of the staff was always around to open the door for us into the corridor. We felt so special the entire evening. I will most definitely return on multiple occasions.

Well...
