I've been waiting to write this review for years, as it's been a long time since I've had to use this airport as my hub, but it's still there - the salmon burger.
In case you're wondering why I had to wait years to write this review, it's because the meal I always order is only available at this location, and I needed to make sure they were still serving it before I added it to maps. They are, and it's all good as ever.
The service is still top notch, but keep in mind I sit at the bar all the time because it's faster to close out checks that way when you're traveling (no waiting to get the attention of a server).
The atmosphere is only for stars, well, because it's still an airport after all. They do the best they can to make it feel like a separate entity, placing it on the second floor, behind a giant marlin (Chuck Bartowski style), but my ultimate reason for visiting is still the burger.
You would imagine after having tasted a wagyu burger, this burger would seem like it wasn't in the same league, but it's just the opposite. This restaurant has the freshest fish because the majority of seafood for Texas is shipped from Houston.
It's sushi grade salmon served with chipotle-spicy coleslaw, and a heap of fries. I still can't finish all the fries, but I gave it the "good ole college try." đ
Of Houston is your connecting airport, and you have a little over an hour, you can make it E4 and get your burger on. I should mention a burger of this quality isn't exactly cheap, so you're looking at...
Read moreMy wife and I literally had 1 hour between connecting flights and the staff made it possible for us to have a sit down meal and drink and be on our way in 45 minutes to catch our flight. The service here was truly exceptional. Where I come from in Canada, there are no restaurants that serve southern comfort so after reading previous reviews made me want to try this place even more. The food was unreal and the seafood in our meals was very fresh and very tasty. Yes it was on the pricy side, but I prefer quality over quantity especially when it comes to eating shell fish. I had the Maryland style crab cakes and they were absolutely fabulous, and were also highly recommended by our waiter Troy who was very knowledgeable about the menu items. My wife ordered the Crawfish Etoffe with dirty rice, which we had no idea what that was and our server explained how the rice was prepared and it sounded very tasty. I had a few bites off my wifeâs plate and it was also fantastic. Glad we got to try this place out. Not sure when we will be connecting through Houston again but I hope this place is just as good the next we get the...
Read moreMy husband and I, had lunch here with our son while waiting for our flight to board. Clearly we ordered different things from the menu and surprisingly, we each loved what we ordered. Hubby ordered the Cheeseburger, while my son ordered the Atlantic Salmon Alexander, while I ordered the Shrimp & Scallop Oriecheitti (I donât think I spelled it right. Sorry!) pasta. The Cheeseburger is around $18-$19 while the other 2 dishes are around $38. Yes, this place is expensive for my taste; but luckily not for my husband. My son really cleaned his plate. I ate mine, but I have some left, not because itâs not good but because the serving is big for my little tummy. My husband on the other hand has no complaints on his burger. Unlike other Pappadeaux locations that are not at the airport, this one has a limited menu. But it still works. If you are craving for a steak dish, I didnât see any. This might not be the place for you. Thank if youâre looking for fish, pasta and burgers, then come here and youâll enjoy it! The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor and there is an elevator with the...
