NOPE! Is all i can say. I seen someone say their food was too salty? TUH! I wish my food had salt on it period!! I've learned throughout the years of living in Houston to always keep it simple when trying new Chinese food spots. #1 Because they're typically awful. 2. I figure if they can mess up on simple traditional Chinese food staples they'll definitely mess up on more complex entrees. 3. They're almost always universally expensive. 4. Did i mention 1-3? Ok, so.. I keep it simple. This place was no different. I ordered Shrimp Fried rice & Pepper Steak. The Shrimp fried rice had an overwhelming amount of fried rice. Hardly, NO SHRIMP. Typical. But on top of that it had absolutely NO FLAVOR! And they have the nerve to be selfish with the soy sauce. (2) Lol (Insider) i also asked for bean sprouts in which i found all but 4 in the whole entree. Smh.. Moving along.. The Pepper steak. Ahhhhh the Pepper Steak.. It was steak alright! But from what animal im still attempting to try and figure out. It had absolutely NO TEXTURE & was soft as potted meat. With no pepper so i don't know why they call it Pepper Steak? Typical Snobbish, Smug Chinese service & attitudes. All eyes were on me when i walked thru the door. Maybe because im a Black male with a large stature & they thought i was gonna rob the place? Idk.. But i felt extremely unwelcome. I almost walked out. Just go to Timmy Chan's man.. DO NOT GO HERE!...
Read morePeking Cuisine has quickly become one of my favorite spots for comfort food in town. The value for the price is exceptional, making it an economical choice for group gatherings such as family get-togethers, friendly meetups, or even coworker team-building events.
Their combination meals are particularly impressive, catering to groups ranging from three to eight people. For our party of nine, we opted for the seven-person combo with an additional order of duck. Each combo includes three hot dishes and three cold dishes, offering a wide array of choices. Impressively, there are no additional charges for selecting different dishes within the combo, allowing you to sample a significant portion of the menu.
While not every dish blew me away flavor-wise, the overall experience was satisfying. The variety ensures that everyone can find something they enjoy, and the portion sizes are generous. It's a fulfilling dining experience, perfect for sharing and trying new things.
The only minor downsides were the desserts, which were just okay, and some dishes were slightly saltier than expected. However, considering the price and the extensive selection, these are minor quibbles.
In summary, Peking Cuisine offers great value, a wide range of dishes, and a satisfying dining experience. It's definitely worth exploring, especially if you're dining with a group and looking for variety and...
Read moreI used to come here a lot but lately they've been slacking on the food. I ordered a chicken with broccoli and the chicken looked and tasted funny, almost rubbery, as I kept inspecting it, I saw that it was almost slimy. It made me want to vomit. The staff is very short with you, their customer service is very strange. They're always on their phones or taking to one another and won't bother checking with you unless you say something. They bring you the check 5 minutes after you get your food which is in my opinion seems like they want you to leave quickly. Once they leave the bill, they'll come around and check if you left your card or money to ring you up. One instance I paid quickly and kept eating, and they never again bothered checking up on me. They need to retrain their staff as they don't know the first thing about customer service and they need to have the health department check their kitchen as I mentioned before that their chicken was very old and slimy. What was once a nice spot for okay Chinese food is now a place I avoid going to...
