Absolutely not. I know it’s a “thing” for Africans to dislike or look down on African Americans but this has to be a Texas thing… never had issues like this in Cali. The Fufu they gave me was old and… doesn’t that look like mold? It was lumpy and everything. It smelt disgusting. The food shouldn’t taste or smell primarily like fish or rotten meat… that’s another thing. I’m starting to catch on to the fact that a lot of African resturaunts give certain people high quality items while they give the throw away a to others. Irregardless, it stunk and the food was nasty, meat was tuff. I’ve had several egusis to know this is not it.

So this is my first time trying goat meat with red sauce and rice as well as plantains. The goat meat was tough in certain areas but probably due to the age of the goat. The sauce is different added flavor to the goat meat which was excellent. The plantains was good seeing as I don't eat bananas unless it's a smoothie. I want to give it a 5 just 4 seem more honest giving that this is my first time eating this. Everything overall good my expectations wasn't disappointed besides not getting fufu. Definitely will try another dish but something different that includes fufu.

So I just left this place called safari african restaurant September 16 2023 time 10:30pm I bought egusi soup worth $20 but the meat they served me was like stone I couldn’t eat it cos it’s too hard I decided to go back to let them know cos I ate this in my car. I explained that the meat is too hard to see if they can just give me a more better meat but the girl not lady I called her girl because she have no sense of reasoning immediately she told me she can’t do anything about it so I left the food with them . If I had known I would have just walk in there and say hey here’s my card I came here to just gave you guys $20 for nothing. That $20 was my sweat even tho it seem small I curse her as she treated me so shall she be treated sadness will be hers Amen. Needed to add this the boy who took my order was asking me what do I want them to do can u imagine that. Plus the meat was just shaki only which wasn’t...

I was here yesterday, My maiden visit to Houston actually. I was served by an elderly man. He had excellent customer service... food excellent... then I showed up today with an assumption that service will the same. I needed take away, the middle aged girl who served had horrible attitude,.. not sure if she judge my truck driver outfit or she is naturally unfriendly... first of I requested for menu, she she looked straight into my eyes and replied we don’t have, and what do you want? She said as she was walking away, i googled photos and settled for goat soup. cost only $19. She replied I need to pay upfront.. I gave her 100$ bill, she asked for smaller denomination.... when her coworker brought change she asked me how much did you her? I was like, what’s up here.. she placed on my hand $81 dollars changed headed to chat with a gentleman.... wasn’t nice at all, food A+ more than...

Ordered the egusi soup with goat meat. I just moved to Houston and this restaurant had good reviews so I drove 35 minutes from where I live to get the food. When I got home, the goat meat was sooooo tough that it wasn't edible. I tried cooking it longer but after 30 minutes it was still too hard to chew. It was like she just killed the poor goat 10 minutes before I got there. The pounded yam would not have been enough for the soup so maybe she ran out of pounded yam, I'm not sure. Wasted my time and money yesterday. And then had to stink up my house trying to cook something that ended up in the garbage. I'm only giving 2 stars because the lady was semi nice other than that it would be 0 stars for food. First impression is everything and I wont be eating Nigerian food for a...
